Just dropped in and trained with the team at Black Lion and had a great experience. Chad Pomeroy is a gracious host and spent sometime with me during instruction. LEO friendly gym and welcoming atmosphere. Appreciate the invite Adam looking forward to training with these guys in the future.

Great instruction and great team mates. I switched from another gym and I am much happier here. Last gym was all competition which was not for me. Black Lion offers a great experience for competition as well as for an enthusiast.

I take my son and daughter here. It’s an awesome experience! It has made an awesome noticeable difference in both of my children. The instructors are awesome!

We are the only certified Gracie Jiu Jitsu school in the Grand Rapids area, we offer classes both for adults and children in self defense, we also have competition classes if you are looking to compete in sport Jiu Jitsu. Black Lion has a mma program with pro and amateur fighters, with some of our pro’s making it into the UFC, LFA and other big name promotions. We offer a ego free atmosphere with a 2 week free trial.
