Employees here seem nice and accommodating, however, lack of diagnosing a leak properly has now cost me a transmission repair.
I brought in a 2014 Ford focus in the fall of 2023 because of a leak that an oil change place said was from the transmission. Car City Complete said it was engine oil and informed me that the rear main seal needed to be replaced. Not knowing at the time that this particular ford transmission was very problematic (something a legitimate mechanic should have known), I didn't second guess their diagnosis and paid over $1000 for this seal. After having my son pick up the car, the transmission was acting up and not shifting properly to the point my son had to pull over and not drive it. The shop towed it back and realized they did not connect the transmission properly to the engine where the seal was replaced and remedied that. Within days we find the car is still leaking just as bad as before. We were told there was bad blow-by and we should change the PVC valve to reduce pressure. Another $400 dollars later there is still a leak! The mechanic said he couldn't figure it out. So we were left thinking we may just have to add oil to this cars engine every so often.
Fast forward a couple months, and now we seem to have no leak, but now we have serious Trans issues because all the fluid had leaked out and now the Trans needs to be completely replaced! Both trans shops we took it to for an estimate told us that this trans oil is very hard to differentiate from engine oil, but a seasoned mechanic should have been able to tell the difference. The oil change guy did!
So the original problem was not engine oil, it was indeed transmission fluid. Since Car City didnt diagnose the fluid leak properly from the start, it has cost us a needless $1400 to their shop and now thousands more because of their faulty diagnosis. If I would have known then what I know now, I would not have had them do any work. I will not recommend their shop and would not trust their evaluations because of this experience.

Overall, especially being my first experience buying a vehicle online, not too bad. If I were giving this review on Janelle alone, it would hands down be 5 stars without a negative word to be said. As a whole, a minor bump in the road as the vehicle I wanted was still in the shop (with several red flags) was resolved quickly. They have an excellent selection and decent to good prices. I feel the overall process, especially at the beginning, could be a bit more efficient - maybe monitored a bit more or handled more expediently. However, all’s well That ends well. Thanks again Janelle. And they should thank you for making what would’ve been 3 stars 4…and once again, Janelle herself is absolutely 5/5 stars

Came here for an alignment, asked them to check all suspension, I pick up my car and they didn’t even test drive it after the alignment. It drove so sloppy like it didn’t have shocks and upon inspection from another shop, they never even tightened the sway bar link bushings. I specifically asked them to check and also asked when I picked it up. It was obvious no one even checked the work after it was done.

I don’t take my car anywhere else to get fixed. My fusion has 224k miles on it and they’ve fixed so many things on it that the people who change my oil talk about how it looks like a brand new car underneath (it kind of is lol). Jerry is always extremely helpful and they are very quick at their job! They also keep you updated on what they’re doing, when, and how long it’s going to take. Very grateful for these guys

Very deceitful, please take your car somewhere else. Previously I uploaded the price from Toyota website for the parts and the invoice with the price that i was charged by the shop and i was overcharged about $500 extra , the owner reported my review to Google and got it removed because the invoice had the shops address.

Top notch service. I stopped in there a little over a month ago to get an estimate on paint for an aftermarket hood I purchased. Estimate was right in line with all the other local paint shops, but what set Car City aside from the rest was their flexibility and professionalism. My hood shipment was a week later than expected and knowing I had my first Jeep event coming up,I was concerned about timing.
My hood showed up, damaged of course rather than sending the hood back and missing my event, Car City went above and beyond my expectations. Not only did they not take me to the cleaners knowing I was under a severe time restraint, they gave me an honest and fair price to fix the damages prior to paint. They even completed the project installed and out the door in less than 3 days! I can't thank them enough for the work they performed and expedited the work without jacking up the price with additional silly costs.
Car City definitely earned a lifetime customer!

There’s a guy name Frank that works here does not do business right and I have been here before. The previous guy we had should come back he did business right. Because I have never been to an auto shop that charges a fee and doesn’t go towards the car repairs. We were 100% fine with the fee charge but to say it doesn’t go towards the repairs is crazy. Also, being informed we needed to get all 4 new tires before doing the repair never heard of that either. We recently purchased 2 new tires and the other 2 were in perfect condition (which were checked). His way of working on cars is not good
Update: Found somewhere to take my car for repairs and guess what the inspection fee goes towards my repairs as any normal shop does and by the look of the reviews on Frank I can see why he was involved in lawsuits.

I’ve been doing business with Frank and Jeries for over 4-5 years they are honest and fair very trustworthy and knowledgeable and very professional and have fair prices they give you options and not trying to rip you off doing things to your vehicle that’s not need we have a very good relationships,to me they are like family as a matter of fact, I have sent over 9 or 10 people, friends and family there , to get their cars worked on or even buy cars from them they also have done excellent body work on a couple of my vehicles I appreciate them !!

Totaled my 23 Durango and within two weeks the car was back to brand new. You cant even tell the difference. Jerry and Frank have some magical hands and an even better sense of urgency. Highly Recommend!

Can't say enough how well treated we felt. Repair took 28 days and the communication was so good, the time went quickly. Equinox was pretty torn up but they put it back together like new. Thank you.
