“I have lived in the area for the last 5 years. However, I hadn't stopped in here until the most recent owners took over. I'm from down south where these general stores are a little more common in the sticks. One thing that's different with this one is that they sell liquor. I saw that on their Facebook page and that pushed me to stop in. I'm a gin drinker, and they actually have a decent selection compared to a lot of stores here.
I've interacted with what seems to be both of the owners and they are very, very pleasant. They have a good selection of snacks and foods, and some glass bottle sodas.
Sure, you'll pay a little more at general stores, but not having to navigate the Busch's or Kroger parking lot chaos for a quick liquor or sandwich run... totally worth it. And, I'd argue that they're cheaper than the former anyways.
Also, if you're a cyclist, they have a bike rack out front and it's a nice safe route to ride. It's right at the crossroads of Clinton-Macon, Macon, and Ford Roads... all which have been good to me so far on the bike.”
“I noticed your Chi-Chi's singles were less expensive than any other market. I got the idea to make "buckets of cheer" to "trade, rent, or give away". The investment in alcohol and mixers was about $200 for eleven adult couples! I added some salami sticks and snack bags! WHAT A HIT! There was much excitement with may exclamations "I have always wanted to try this . . ." Thank you for grandma and grandma bringing the best gift to the celebration!”

“Great doller general! The staff is friendlier than most of the Dollar general and on top of that they keep the store well stocked there wasn't a single shelf that had missing items so you know basically they replaced the items as quick as they were sold and it's not because it's not busy because it is busy and I still keep the items to replace constantly so you never miss out on anything unless they run out of it like completely so you know if they have it or not pretty much on walking in which is a huge plus to have in any sort of like family Dollar but these people have made sure that they're layout is not only completely stopped so there is no running out of it but also they've made sure that they are there and available for you to talk to if you need help and to usher you on your next you know your next purchase like they make sure you find everything if they have it and if they don't know they walk around with you and help you find it and then you know they don't have it and they don't have it but so far every time they wandered around with me help me find something they found itmeaning so far there's never been anything that I've asked for that they haven't had so that's how good of a store it is!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Since there are some negative reviews here, I felt I should write. I have never had any problems here. The produce looks good, staff is friendly, and the store is just easier to deal with than the behemoths in Ann Arbor and Ypsi. Selection is decent considering the size, with some ethnic foods.”
“It's a very well-kept store for a Dollar general and the staff are really outstanding. They seem to hold on to people there I think people are generally happy and that's an amazing thing for a small chain like that or I should say a huge chain but a small store. Overall their service is first class and I'm happy that they're right down the block one mile from me which is one block out here in the country. Tim Murphy”

“I quickly stopped by here while passing by to pick up a few items. This Kroger is smaller than others but has all the necessities. The only items I needed but weren’t sold here were whole coconuts. The service is good, however, and employees helped me immediately when I asked them if they stocked whole coconuts.”
