Honestly you're better off going to any other tune shop in Michigan than to go here. Save your time/money

Terrible shop. They are money hungry and will take and take with no result. Fancy shop couldn’t even do a segment swap for a tune. Had the car for months and came back the same way. Will never recommend and will spread the word.

Can’t give 0 or negative stars so I guess they get 1. Car was dropped off late February-early March with a list of everything I wanted done but was open to changes. Talked to Matt the year prior about everything I wanted 500-600 hp vehicle and it was agreed that I had a good budget for what I wanted. I admit the wiring on the vehicle was a mess but we’ll get to that later.Car sat outside for 2 months with nothing being done until I threatened to pull the vehicle out. Magically the motor was out in 1 day and the vehicle again sat outside. I was suppose to be paying as they got work done and paid around $12,000 before finding out nothing was being done on the vehicle. They asked for more to cover the “labor” they were doing when they weren’t doing anything and the motor was in pieces on a stand. Had to again tell them I was going to pull the vehicle before work continued.I bought some parts from motionrace works, ICT, Jegs and other name brand parts, was told they weren’t gonna work and they weren’t gonna use them. I got these companies involved and they insisted I got pictures of the parts not working, to which I asked Vector for pictures and never received any because their e-mail “wasn’t working”. Had to talk with the owner Sam Moore and she assured me she would take a more “hands on approach” and make sure the vehicle would get done correctly “they are a fabrication shop” was the sentenced she used.Had to continually push them to get the work done. Was told my battery was bad, so I agreed to a new one and they got one that is not the same CCA as the old one and to tall to work for the cover to go over top. Couldn’t make the audio system work after they unplugged to wire in the Holley computer and battery relocation. They damaged the timing cover with a screw driver and tried to sell me a new one for $160 dollars to which I found a black timing cover and billet timing chain set for the same price. Decided to show up and see their progress to find the whole front of the engine apart because the water pump “was hitting the timing cover” after 9 weeks of the water pump being on the vehicle. Was told that it’d only take 20 hours to rewire the vehicle, which turned into 40 without them asking or informing me at all, again the wiring was rough but being informed it would have taken more time would have been nice. They started adding parts and time that I didn’t approve of or even know about until I asked about them after seeing them. Never was given an official estimate only receipts of work done. The coolant cross over pipes were left loose and just banging around on top of the engine. Finally it came time for the dyno and I was told it’d take 2-3 days. I had a ride to go and get the vehicle and was then informed it wasn’t finished. Had to wait another week of it being “dyno’d” only to arrive on Friday with the vehicle incomplete. On the drive home a bracket was banging on hood, 02 sensor wire was left dangling down, power steering pump was left low and whining the hoses they said they’d adjust were not adjusted. The windshield valence was left off, reverse lights don’t work, fender wells attached by literally 2 threads on the bolts, threads stripped out, tune is far far too rich and will need re-tuned. Frankly when things started to go bad the owner Sam Moore avoided me at all costs and wasn’t there on pick up. Vehicle was there for a total of 10 months and for a total of $30,000 I’m sincerely disappointed in the fit and finish and tune. I didn’t any of the extra bolts back and they want me to waste my fuel and time to come back and get them and “try to make things right” which I do appreciate but I really don’t want them charging me more money or wasting my time to screw it up.They are more worried about padding their pockets then providing a decent product. Please don’t be like me and have a 366 horsepower “good base” as they put it $30,000 disappointment from them sitting in your garage. Go somewhere else.

Had my car for first time ever for my experience for a tune and Dyno. Had issues later in the year with the temp running to high so had it tuned and new thermostat put in by a different shop. Just not a good experience for my first time, one of those things that happened and felt a bit taken advantage of. What I know now I wouldn’t recommend them at all. Just horrible when you go thru a situation like this after such excitement leading up to it. Will never forget but learned a lesson. Also my Dyno well that was not done well either but had that redone.

Horrible Customer Service. Buyer Beware!!!!!!!!!! Ordered a part in March. They put it on my car and I didn't accept the work because it looked ridiculous. They said it was a manufacturer issue. Ok, that's fine. So they ordered the replacement part and it came in June 14th. Sam called me August 3rd to let me know that my part was in. Almost two months it sat in their shop!!! Sam wouldn't work with me and resolve the matter in a civil way. She threatened me and lied to me. IMO, they should care more about customer satisfaction rather than winning races.

Fall of 2020 I brought my 2013 F250 to Vector to have a lift pump installed after calling to confirm that they work on Diesels. I was going to order a FASS lift pump to have them install it, but Mike talked me into buying an AirDog due to their experience and relationship with the company. I agreed because I figured if they are the professionals and suggesting them. I assumed they would stand behind their product. 2 days after the install, the truck engine would not shut off and the engine RPM's soared until it finally seized. Even after taking the key out. I had it towed to Vector to see if they would take any responsibility. They did not and claimed the lift pump had nothing to do with the engine seizing. However, the truck ran for ~135K miles just fine prior to the lift pump being installed. From there, I sourced a brand new crate 2015 6.7 Powerstroke Diesel Engine and asked Vector to quote on the services to replace the engine. They happily took on the project although I was more than happy to take it to a shop that specialized in Diesels. After install, the truck was throwing a low fuel pressure code. I immediately took it back in and was told that they installed the pump correctly and it must be a programming issue. They tried adjusting the lift pump pressure, but that did not work. I pushed back on this response to no avail. The truck was drivable as long as I didn't give her the beans. Spring of 2022, the truck left me stranded 200 miles from home. I took it back to Vector (spoke to Robert) and they said it was just the fuel filters, but they were only 6,500 miles old at the time. Fuel filters don't have to be changed every 10K miles. Vector changed the fuel filter and water seperator and it would drive as long as you don't push it more than half throttle. I brought it back in to have the lift pump replaced for the warranty but was told there was a 2 month wait by someone other than Robert. I patiently waited the 2 months and rarely drove the truck. When I did, I had to be extremely cautious not to go over half throttle so that it wouldn't go into limp mode. Called just prior to my appointment to take it in and the new counter person Jessica said that they did not have my appointment on the books and could not get to it immediately. I then spoke to the owner Sam for the first time to ask them to cover the labor to take the lift pump off and send the pump to AirDog to have it replaced under warranty. Sam refused saying that labor is not included for warranty items. The issue is that I immediately told them the lift pump was bad just a day after install and they brushed me off. They installed a bad pump from the beginning (make and model suggested by Vector) and should have taken care of the costs to install a correctly functioning lift pump. After all this, I troubleshot the problem myself and found that an O-Ring was trashed when Vector adjusted the pressure. The manual specifically states that adjustments can only take place with the engine off. They must have adjusted it while running. Summary: Vector installs lift pump, engine seizes two days later. After a brand new engine replacement, the lift pump is not working. I spent close to $10K in labor and parts (not including the cost of the engine; I paid for that directly) and they are not willing to work with me to warranty the lift pump and install a new one. Vector will never get my business again. They are frivolous and do not understand how to take care of paying, patient customers. I ended up working with Vector to get the pump replaced under warranty two years later. I'm not a mechanic at all, but was able to do this myself. Vector certainly could have done this for me, but they don't care about customer service. Just get you in and out and do not care to take care of you after you pay your bill.

Jessica rocks! She took good care of my girl (21 Stang) by keeping her clean, and Kyle turned her into mean fighting machine! Thanks VMS!

Had a custom stainless exhaust done for my 70 bronco. Looks like jewelry. They also did a custom radiator and electric fan install. They did exactly what they said they were going to do. Highly recommend this place.

I’ve taken two cars to Vector Motorsports in the past couple years. Robert and Mike took care of me both times. They respond to emails quickly and get quotes out without issue even when it’s for parts of the build I’m a year or more away from being ready to fund. Most recently they did some BMR suspension parts (sway bars, end links, diff bushings) and set the front strut top mounts to track mode on my 2018 ZLE. What a difference it made on track! I’ll be going back here for all my future modifications. Thanks Robert and team, I’m very happy with your work!

I took my 2008Trailblazer SS in to have the oil pressure checked. They charged me a $330 diagnostic fee and $134 to do an oil change. They did not provide any sort of documentation outlining the results of the diagnosis. When I asked what exactly was done Robert had no real answer and deflected. At the end of the day $500 is $500, but being taken advantage of does not sit well with me. I had every intention of doing a $10-15k supercharger set up with them, but after this experience I'll be taking my business elsewhere. I caution anyone who decides to do business with this establishment to request a written estimate prior to work being completed.

Had Vector tune my car and install new viking shocks. Dan helped me at the track adjust shocks and tweak tuning. 9.7 @150 street car! Will be back!
