We loved the hotel . More importantly we loved the staff . From check in until late check out the staff was so accommodating and caring . They all went out of their way to make sure we had everything to feel at home . Great location and extremely clean . Nice little bar on property for happy hour or late night libations . ***Again the staff was what made all the difference in the world . Extremely kind and professional . We will be back next Christmas ! Special thanks to Juliette , Tracy and Natalie !! See you soon Phillip PS .....I hope Corporate management reads this and the proper gratitude is passed down to these individuals . They are phenomenal and the heart and soul of your business.

I stayed at Brighton Michigan Marriott next to outback steakhouse and the room was excellent but Juliette asst GM was even better. She was friendly and it seemed like she was doing everything from checking in guest answering phones to helping guest at the bistro and doing laundry. I chatted w her and she has only been there for short time but she is a excellent worker and the Marriott Brighton should be very fortunate to have here

We stay at a lot of Marriott properties and this one seemed to measure up at first. There had been severe storms through the area the night before so maybe that had something to do with it but the air in the hotel and especially our room just seemed damp. To the point that the towels, sheets, and carpet just didn’t feel dry. Everything was clean and what we normally would expect otherwise. The amenities offered were on par. We would give it another try.

A nice property, as long as you don't mind going 3 days with zero housekeeping service.

We arrived Friday and left Sunday. We were given keys ti a room that was still being made up. After returning to the front desk, no apology, just another room key. There was no mention there would be no service. True story. Covid is over. Exchange the towels. Make Up the room. Do something.

I made a reservation to stay here in May, but cancelled it in April. Today I noticed they charged my credit card anyway. I called, and they couldn't even explain. So, the credit card company can do a chargeback, and I can tell you not to trust this hotel with your payment info.

Thank you Tracy for exceptional service ! We arrived during the power outage because Marriott mistakenly gave us a reservation by phone. Tracy couldn't have been more apologetic and gracious and found a room for us the following day. She was happy to help in spite of the many customers showing up tired and frustrated all day.Very Impressed!

Beds clean and comfortable. Housekeeping infrequent. Bathrooms old and dark, with loud fan. Fire alarm in whole hotel went off at 7:30am on Saturday and the hotel's answer was to turn the entire system off for the rest of the weekend. Clearly never change the batteries and don't care. Also, "clientele" had a fight in the lobby and when we came downstairs, we were greeted by Sheriffs interrogating people in the lobby.

We spent six nights here while visiting family. I always try to stay at Marriott properties, so I chose the Courtyard in Brighton. The facility was fine, but nothing really stood out about it. Our first room was hot and stayed that way even after we lowered the temperature and went out for a few hours, so the helpful staff gave us another room. The new room stayed nice and cool in the hot Michigan summer. There were some other issues. The in-room coffee maker dripped. Coffee in the lobby was not free (except, inexplicably, the first morning) for Silver Elite members. The charging station by one side of the bed didn't function. Neither was a big issue, just mildly annoying. The ice machine on our floor was always out of service, but I understand that it's not always easy to get things fixed quickly in this age of the pandemic. Also, it was the first Marriott property we've stayed in for quite some time that lacked a microwave. The staff was always friendly and willing to help; it followed COVID masking suggestions. The facility's indoor pool was a welcome relief on two occasions. We didn't spend a ton of time in the room, and in general, it served its purpose. It just didn't stand out, hence the overall rating.

It took 3 tries to end up in a room that was clean AND had working air conditioning. The Bistro only opened on one morning during our entire week long stay even though each day the front desk said it would be open the next day. They housekeeping in the common areas and hallways left much to be desired. Housekeeping collected trash from rooms of people who checked out and then piled it in large bags in the ice machine rooms and hallways. The trash stayed overnight. Second floor ice machine was never in working condition. Not what we expected of a Marriott property. We are at another Courtyard in Ohio this week and it is clean, well staffed and a night and day difference!

Really disappointed w our room; never complained to the staff (who were very friendly), as we were coming and going a lot, and pretty exhausted--being in town for a funeral. So, perhaps we'd have been offered a better room, perhaps not. Who knows. Our room had a toilet that ran and made this shrieking/whining noise any time we flushed it, or when our neighbors flushed their toilets. Our sink didn't drain properly, so it was gross to brush teeth or wash hands, sink the sink was full of dirty water. Anything we tried to watch on TV caused the screen to jump and freeze and fuzz out; I tried multiple channels. Seems like this building and amenities need an update. Appreciated that there are two restaurants within walking distance (Outback and Cracker Barrel), but I'd skip out on staying here again.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel frequently. The staff is incredibly nice and very thoughtful of ALL their guests. I have NEVER encountered a problem and if I did it was resolveds IMMEDIATELY. It is so very unfortunate that during such difficult times across our country right now, that some people chose to take out their frustrations on everyone around them. I can assure anyone who may be hesitate after reading SOME of the other reviews that Kevin and his staff are incredibly professional. Stay here and judge for yourselves how great the hotel is.
