I had the service department replace a motor in my 2011 Subaru Outback and had nothing but problems with it. I had the work completed back on 3/15/24. Took it back twice after that with overheating & dash lights coming on. I recently noticed that there was a mixture of coolant & oil leaking from underneath my vehicle. I took it to a Subaru dealer and had their service department check it out. They sent me a video detailing that the water pump was installed incorrectly (used a red sealant); oil leaking from the oil pan; coolant leaking from the new thermostat; incorrect coolant hoses used (aftermarket instead of OEM); and a piece of the cylinder head broken off, to only be re-glued. The vehicle was not safe to drive at all. The Subaru dealership helped me to get into another vehicle that night. I contacted Rich @ Serra Brighton Mazda to express my dissatisfaction and sent him the video of Mazda's repairs that the Subaru dealer provided. He told me to bring it back to him to determine "if it was related to poor workmanship or defect." I would most definitely say it is a yes on both counts. No ifs about it, since they were the last ones to work on my engine since March. I already got rid of the car, especially after taking back to them twice before and they failed to correct the issues. I know that they had used a LKQ engine, but it was not thoroughly looked over due to that broken piece on the cylinder head. I had last spoke to Rich over a week ago and still have not heard anything from him. Photos of their workmanship are attached taken from the service video provided by a Subaru dealer. Definitely not pleased with the work or customer service. Ignoring the problem does not make it go away.

The Brighton Mazda service center has friendly staff. They took my car in as scheduled and had me on the road quickly. The service was great. They even washed my car. I would recommend them for Mazda maintenance and repairs.

I had my 5000 mile service visit to Serra Mazda Brighton today. The service advisor clearly explained what would be done today and the work was performed at no charge. I later received an inspection video of the work done. I have never seen such thorough service.

Justice was my salesperson and was great to work with. He was not the least bit pushy, did what I asked of him and assisted from start to finish. He was communicative and friendly. I highly recommend him. The finance guy (sorry I do not recall your name) was great to work with too. So far I have been happy with the purchase and the service I have received since.

I loved that they showed with a video the issue I was experiencing. I moved to Michigan 19 months ago so to build a relationship with another Mazda tech was comforting. My car was fixed at a reasonable price quote upfront was very nice. They did amazing!!!
