After having a very rude interaction with a family fare worker over the phone. We decided to shop for our groceries here. Very helpful workers, making sure I was finding everything (they were reorganizing and it was a tad messy) but they made sure to ask if I looked confused. Now THIS is customer service I appreciate. Will stop again before we leave the area.

We got everything we needed and more on our trip to the local Dollar General. Mask friendly, love that. We bought the following items: sour neon gummy worms, 100 grands, milk duds, starburst sour gummies, tootsie pops, kool-aid, Mountain Dew and 6 Red Bull's, oh and red cups! I have nothing more to add. A brand true to its core values

What a blatant disrespect for the customers! When I walked into the Boyne City Dollar General, I noticed that the cashier wasn't wearing a mask to protect himself and the customers from the coronavirus. I asked him why he wasn't wearing a mask and he said "because I don't want to". These are trying times with the coronavirus and like so many have said, "Where all in this together". Well apparently the cashier doesn't understand that or just doesn't care about himself or anyone else. With an attitude like his, he should be fired or better still the Dollar General franchisee in Boyne City should be held accountable for not requiring employees that deal directly with the public to wear a mask. Shame on you. Apparently you don't give a damn about your customers either. After thinking about it for a few seconds, I decided that Dollar General had nothing I couldn't get right next door at Family Fare, so I told the cashier that I was going to go where the customer was respected and left the store. By the way, Family Fare has a sign on their door that says not to come in if you don't wear a mask. And, all their employees were wearing masks. There was also a gentleman at the door sanitizing all the carts for their customers. Kudos to Family Fare. My advice is to stay away from Dollar General in Boyne City.
