These guys were great!Even though I slept through my alarm and was a few hours late they still found time to help me. Found the problem fast and easily, reassured me it was nothing serious and got everything done very quickly.

These guys are great. I've taken my beater car here twice now(for different issues) and have twice been 100% satisfied. Their main mechanic is very honest and knowledgeable. Price is very reasonable. Also, they are quick when you are in a pinch for time. I can't recommend them enough.

I can't say enough about the guys at Boyne City Brake. I have a 1996 Mercedes that was having an electrical problem. They took a lot of time to figure it out because my car was different than what the manufacture said. They did the research without charging me for the time spent finding the problem. Joe felt it was just added education for them. They took care of my little sports car even taking it in at night! They are the best, besides being very friendly!Dawn

Needed air on my 35' RV trailer tires before our journey back down state. One of the mechanics dropped what he was doing to back our trailer into their lot and put a safe amount of air in my tires. Thank you to the Boyne City Tire & Brake team for going above and beyond!

Very very poor service no communication what so ever. Dropped my truck off 3 week’s ago for an appointment to get its exhaust fixed they said it would be done the next day. Did not hear back from them for 3 weeks and called them. They said yep it’s going in right now and it will be done for you. Another week later it’s still in its spot and nothing has been done. Went to go pick it up today and discovered my windows where left open and it’s rained a few time. Save your self the time and money and don’t come here

When getting your car repaired here I hope you have extra time. We scheduled to have our car fixed. It was a tune up and the axles seals that needed to be replaced. There were a few bolts that were rusted on the axle that needed to be fixed as well. We purchased the parts because my husband was going to do it himself, but decided not to after he saw some of the bolts were rusted. We called and scheduled an appt on 6/22 for 6/29 to have everything fixed. My husband stopped on 6/30 to see if it was done and it hadn't been touched yet. The owner told him it was under the wrong name, but that they would get it in that afternoon and that it should be done Mon. (7/3) or Wed. (7/5) at the latest. I stopped on Monday the following week (7/10) and looked in the car. It still was not touched. I was beyond upset at this point. I spoke with the receptionist and told her I would like to speak with the owner ASAP. When talking with her she had excuses of why the car wasn't done. Such excuses included that they have had a car there for OVER A YEAR still needing a new motor or transmissions. I had asked to look at the work order and they didn't even have the correct name on it. They had my husband's name spelled two different ways (Kurt,Curt) then crossed out with the correct name. Work ordered said "Have until Wed. 7/5". While waiting for the owner to show up, I asked a mechanic how long it would take to do what we were requesting to have done. He told me that he didn't know and that the receptionist would have to figure it out. After about 10-15 minutes I was told it would take 4-5 hours. I had heard her make 2 appts for that day to have service done to their cars per the owner telling them it would be done that day. A gentleman showed up and was getting an alignment per the owner that day. I told him good luck because our car was supposed to be fixed on 6/29 per an appt. I asked the receptionist how much longer it would take for the owner, being I have been waiting for about an hour so far. I finally got his phone number, called him, and asked him why they are making appts and not doing the work that had an appt from over a week ago. He explained that when they do a job, sometimes it doesn't go as planned and that some jobs take a little longer because you find other problems with it, or that the mechanics pick and choose what they want to work on that's easier for them. That was stated by the owner. I completely understand the jobs that end up taking longer as you get into them, but calling the customer and explaining that goes a long way. The owner told me it would be in the shop today, so I asked about a discount because of all the problems. He told me "absolutely not" because he has bills to pay and has to make a living and also because we didn't buy the parts from him. Again, my husband would have done it himself if it weren't for the bolts. I understand that, but at the same time you have let me down because you took on a job that was not touched for about two weeks per us having an appt. I would have settled for 5 or 10 percent off for all of the inconveniences of the shop not doing their job in a timely matter. In the end, I spoke with another shop about our experience and they said if we could get it over there they would start working on it that afternoon. I would have been fine if they told me they were a week or two out. All I ask for is communication and honesty. Don't tell someone you will work on their car if your shop is that far behind, or if your shop in not under control and working on cars in the order that they are scheduled. If that would have been the only car I owned I would be stranded because of their lack of communication in their office and with their customers. I will say that I did swear when talking with them. which I know was not appropriate, but I was very frustrated. If I could give a Zero star review I would based off communication and service from this company.

Wow! I have never before felt the need to write a review, but this business was spectacular! I was in town skiing when my parking brake locked up. It was a Saturday evening when I noticed it and we were supposed to head home Sunday morning. The owner answered my call at 7pm while he was even out on a snowmobile trip, and he was so very accommodating to get me in either early on Sunday or even late that Saturday night whatever worked better for ME! He fixed the problem, wrote me a work order to address my concerns of the work that was done to replace my brakes a week before, and asked an incredibly low price for his services. I would definitely recommend!
