“Our Ozzie ate something he shouldn't of and we had one hour to get him to throw it up. We ran up to Pet Authority and they took him right in and gave him something right away. “Dr. Brad Schumaier has been really great. He is our 2 Shiba Inu's only vet. They have not seen anyone else since they have been born. Recently, the oldest one has gotten through anxiety/behavior issues of some sort. Which has been really stressful for us and I'm sure for our baby. Nonetheless, he, the Doctor is really patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate, and we are glad he is familiar with the breed. I don't even think there are many DVM who are.”
“My dog has been seeing Dr. Carter for a couple years and we absolutely love her and the whole office! She and her vet tech are so sweet and patient with my nervous dog and have never once made us feel bad for sometimes struggling with vet visits. They’re great about returning calls for questions and work really hard to squeeze you in if you have a problem. My dog is slowly improving with his visits and the staff here make them as quick and easy as possible!”

“I switched to this vet after being quoted for a $4-$5k surgery for a dime sized bump on my 11-year-old cat. The previous vet (that I had been with for 7 years) did not aspirate the bump or even thoroughly pull away his fur to get a good look at it. Dr. Ast was kind, spent sufficient time with me and my pet, and then drained what turned out to be a fluid filled cyst in less than 5 minutes with a needle so fine that aftercare is not needed. $90 later and the bump that stressed me out for a month is no more. While it is likely to return, I will take occasional draining of a small cyst any day over putting my senior cat under anesthesia for a $5k surgery. I should say that I waited longer than expected; however, I know it was due to a very hard appointment for a pet and owner that I walked in with. I will wait anytime knowing that this vet spent time comforting an owner and pet in a very delicate time. Both of my cats will now be coming to this location full time. Highly recommend!”
“We got a puppy a few months ago and since then we have been seeing Dr. Priscilla Koehler and we couldn’t be happier. She’s always being super patient and answering all of our questions as well as recommending the best route for our puppy during his vaccines and appointments. We truly feel so lucky to have found a doctor that cares for our dog and takes the time to make sure that we feel confident in the care provided for our dog. We couldn’t recommend her enough!!”

“Great experience when I brought one of my 6 Siamese cats in today on an emergency basis for the very first time. The entire staff was super friendly and very accommodating. Dr. Guild was very professional, courteous and was very thorough when checking on my cat. He is going to have some dental work after we get his bloodwork back and get the go ahead but I was super impressed. So happy with the visit I am taking all of my 6 cats and transferring all of their records to this practice. Not happy with my previous vet and the way I was treated over the phone with a sick cat no less but Dr. Guild and the staff never made us feel like that. Very welcoming and took care of my baby. Thanks again Animal Hospital Maple Orchard and Dr. Guild.”
“Above and beyond! If they treat their patients half as good as a stranger with a found cat than you are in great hands. We found ourselves in quite the predicament with a random cat, who wandered into our home, obviously missing her family. We called local veterinarian offices that happen to be closed on Wednesdays and then animal control in Hazel Park was unavailable. This office stepped up to the plate and helped me get this kitty scanned for a microchip! They even got me a cardboard carrier, so she just wasn’t a free range kitty in my car. Luckily, this beautiful cat was micro chipped and because of the effort this veterinarian team put in, we were able to reunite this cat with her mother. Thank you again for helping this awesome cat get home!!!”
“Let me start by saying that Terry and Hylana are just the best most understanding people I have met. When I was confronted with having to put my best friend Bear down due to cancer they we so compassionate and helped me threw what felt like the worst day of my life. “After visiting 2 other vets in the area and getting no answers to why my baby wasn't eating properly and losing weight. After the doctors thorough exam and thoughtfully listening to what was going on. She can tell right away by examining his neck the way hes swallowing hes uncomfotable..intuitive yes,, experience. Yes. next says xray in order first then do one lab that wasn't included in the 2 previous visits. Unfortunately the xray said it all. Very thoughtful kind and compassionate through the whole tragic ordeal. Not to mention the first doctor HAD done an xray.. 4 months previously and did NOT see anything abnormal?? Thank you North Hill for your skill and humanity. RIP my baby”
“This animal hospital saved my dog Billy from his life-threatening urinary stones health problem. Billy has been absolutely renewed almost like the day we first brought him home back in 2018. Staff was very kind, honest, straightforward, and explanatory when Billy was going into his surgery. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 is due to pricing on all aspects of the procedure, my family had to shell out a couple thousand dollars for absolutely everything that was needed, from as little as visits to as massive as his surgery, it was a tremendous amount of money. Other than that, I can safely say it was a 8/10 in positive experience, Thank you for saving my dog Billy.”
