My mother in laws cat was lost on the streets for a long time and when we brought him in there were no judgments and nothing but love towards him. They are so patient and kind with you and your pet. Thank you guys so much for making momo feel safe after everything he's been through!!

We’ve taken all of our pets here for the past 20 years and service is always top notch! Our dogs love everyone here but especially Dr. Lewis!! I can’t imagine a better place to be- Deporre has compassionate, attentive, concerned workers and they go above and beyond to fulfill all of our pets needs.

Dr Brittany and staff are always kind and patient with my dogs. They take their time to have a true appointment and meet the dogs where they are at. They are reasonable and even my prescription prices matched chewy!

We have been taking our kitty Shelby to DePorre since we rescued him a year ago, and he has always received the highest standard of care.
He has had appts. with Dr. Fox as well as Dr. DeHondt. Both have been great with Shelby, and are very thorough and kind.
DePorre is a bit of a drive for us, but it is worth it for the excellent care. I would definitely recommend DePorre.

Could not have asked for a better Vet / Primary Care for my two dogs Purple and Paxton. The people are nice, the doctors are knowledgeable and the operation is efficient.

I would never, ever switch to another Veterinary practice. I have been taking my pets to DePorre probably since around 2002 or so? I took my first cat there not long after I first moved to Michigan. Back then we saw Dr.Jules whom we loved! In later years, we started seeing Dr.Lewis, who is our primary "go to" at DePorre. That being said EVERYONE at DePorre is professional, considerate, loving to our pets, knowledgeable and truly caring. Their level of professionalism is unsurpassed. Dr.Lewis is beyond dedicated, never makes me feel rushed, answers all of our questions and is always putting the best interest of our pets first. The reception staff is kind and patient, they are also professionals. I know that working at a Veterinary Practice is NOT easy, and we appreciate all of the love, care and professionalism that is exhibited towards our pets. UPDATED MAY 27TH 2019....recently I brought Dakota in and he was diagnosed with hypertension. I was beside myself. I had called in to have some receipts sent to Trupanion and spoke with Kimberly Meldrum on the phone. I was crying about Dakota and the kindness that Kimberly displayed was beyond touching. She listened and TRULY cared. She even followed up with me on the weekend checking to see how Dakota was doing (because he had vomited the first day of taking his meds). THAT is true caring........Kimberly, Dr.Lewis and the staff at DePorre LOVE our pets as if they were their own. That's not easy to find.
UPDATED 2024: Still love DePorre, my only wish now is they would finally install the Trupanion Direct Pay software that I know that they have! It would benefit EVERYONE !!! Other than that, we love DePorre! Dr.Lewis is the best of the best, we also adore Dr.Corey!! Love the front office staff as well!

We use to take both of our dogs to DePorre for several years until a dental cleaning that ended in an ER visit. We talked with Dr DeHondt to explained what happened and requested him to reimburse what we paid for the procedure and for the ER visit. However, they suggested us to contact their insurance to pay for it. We ended up talking to lawyers from the insurance company and DePorre was never hold accountable. Sadly this was not the first time they made mistakes while treating my dogs. We are so disappointed and will never go back to this clinic again.

We have been seeing Dr. Brittany since our fur baby came home to us almost 5 years ago. She has a fantastic bedside manner, and is responsive to all questions, even after your appointment.

Professional, kind, caring & friendly - my dog is happy to go there - both for veterinary care & for grooming - he runs right in - & has received excellent treatment &/or advice when he's had health challenges - with facts & science combined with common sense. In a couple of instances where specialists have advised some more extreme treatments - after consulting with DePorre docs who are familiar with the patient (& his human) combined with a reasoned point of view - we've taken a less extreme path & achieved great results - yay!!

One of the best vets I have ever been to. The vets and staff here are amazing. They worked with my budget and provided multiple options for treatment with different price ranges. They did everything they could to help my dog and keep the treatment affordable to me. I can tell the staff truly cares about my animals health and well being and they are very empathetic. They also took the time to explain everything to me and made sure I understood all of my options, which other vets often do not do. The quality of care here is high and the prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Deporre to any pet owner.
