GO SEE DAVE GARMIN! Here’s why :
I don’t buy new golf equipment often until I feel like technology has advanced enough for me to see a significant gain or advantage to make a change. I’m very picky about club setup and don’t like to change unless I should/need to. I’ve worked with Dave several times over the last 8+ years and he’s always treated me very well. He knows I’m a decent player at a 3 handicap and don’t want to just buy clubs for the fun of it. I went and saw I’m recently to upgrade from my 6 year old Cobra F9 driver that I thought I was out of date in tech and could see gains with a new driver. We went into their private hitting bay on the trackman and started comparing my performance stats of current driver compared to several new drivers. After 15 minutes and collecting data he was HONEST and said he doesn’t think I should touch my current driver as the results were almost identical with a new $600 driver. I went there wanting to spend money but he was honest enough to not try to just sell me to make commission but was honestly looking out for my best interest in my game. Long story short I went back a week later and did more testing and I decided myself I wanted to purchase the new driver without Dave even suggesting I do so. I took out and played it and was blown away at the gains I was seeing on course. In a weeks span I purchased a new driver , 2 new fairways woods and 2 new wedges , spending over $1500 all because I knew Dave was honest and truthful and was looking out for my best interest and not just trying to make a sale. That’s nearly impossible to come by in todays world as I’m in sales myself. Dave probably spent 2 hours of his time with me and never once rushed me, pressured me, or tried to SELL me on a purchase. If you’ve gotten this far in the review , do yourself a favor and go to Dave Garmin for all your golf needs at Carls in Bloomfield. You’ll thank me.

Great experience!
Went it to price some new irons and left feeling good about my purchase.
Joe Beatty was great! He gave me a handful of options to choose from and test out on their range. Nothing pushy about their staff.
I love that they offered so many options and price ranges. Staff was very attentive and welcoming.
I will go out of my way to return to that store.

Had an issue with one of the putters I purchased. The team was very helpful and understanding. They allowed me to exchange it and write a warranty claim on the old one.

Had a great experience getting my first performance fitting done at Carl's golfland with Tommy P. I tried out a wide variety of clubs, curated by Tommy. He indulged me by letting me try different schaft flexes! I really liked that this place had a live range, so it was not just a fitting with a simulator. Highly recommend, ask for Tommy! They send you a data collection of all of the drivers you hit as a reference.

Can't say enough good things about this place, longtime online customer who played golf in the area last week. On the way home had to stop by. The nicest staff you will ever encounter, and if the person you ask isn't knowledgable, they know exactly who to bring over to get you squared away. Compared to where I live it's well worth the 5 hour drive next time I upgrade the clubs. They know, they care. First class.

Ordered a new set of irons from Carl’s Bloomfield Hills location. After nearly a month of waiting (2 days shy of a month when told 2-3 weeks lead-time) I happen to stop buy to purchase some new golf balls. I asked the guy at the counter if he could look into when my new clubs may arrive. After a minute of looking he informed me that the clubs had arrived 7 days prior and were at the store. When I told him that nobody had called to let me know that they arrived (as I was told would happen) he simply said “somebody should have” and walked away to grab the clubs. Never offered an apology, gift card or anything.
After spending the amount of money that a new set of irons costs these days, I was wildly disappointed at the customer service and the lack of care that was demonstrated by the staff for an error on their end-of-things. Is there not a system in place to let customers know when an order arrives? I will be looking to take my future business elsewhere.

Visited Carl’s Golfland today to upgrade my putter. Aaron was awesome to work with. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the differences in each make and model. I can’t wait to try this club out tomorrow! Thank you for the excellent customer service

The employees are very helpful and kind but the range needs better monitoring I spent 2hrs 45 min trying to hit three clubs I hoped to purchase only to watch people hog mats like the cavemen one family of four on three mats and one being used by a lil girl to make designs out of balls while her dad laid his club and balls across a mat to coach his five year old boy who literally walked around in between every few shots then when a bay opened up i wasn’t able to use woods on it two of the clubs I wanted were woods so yeah sucked I had 8 balls to demo and not one person had the decency to offer up a spot between large buckets they sent gofers to grab to hold the Mats just sad it’s not a playground

Kind of concerned with the level of golf balls I see at my apartment (Bloomfield place) really don’t want to be nailed in the head with a golf ball because the net doesn’t fully cover and ends where people are literally aiming the golf balls. I’m sure that would be a lawsuit

Walked in with cash in hand looking to buy some NICE golf clubs... Long story short i left within 15 minutes very unhappy. Not one person approached me to ask if i had any questions, or if I needed any help. Which I did. Staff was terrible... looked like 8 or 9 people working and 4 or 5 of them were huddle up having a great conversation showing pictures on there phones, the entire time I was there... would have mistaked them for customers, but the "Carl's golfland badge" was plain to see... Insane....
