Today (November 2, 2024), I went to Harp's when my usual lingerie shop closed earlier than expected. I was warmly greeted at the door, taken to a fitting room, measured, and given a large variety of bras to choose from.
The staff was courteous, professional, and quite knowledgeable.
I will definitely be going back to Harp's!

Great store. Quality lingerie. The best bras ever. Victoria secret is low grade compared to Harps!! Love this place and the Staff is amazing!!

Long story short, the bras did not fit. The sports bras caused numbness down my arm and was so tight I had difficulty breathing. The under wire bra dug into my ribs and gave me chest pain. Since she threw out the old bra, I had to purchase a bra extender just to be able to breathe. Wasn't able to return because I wore them plus the drive to return the remaining bra would have cost me in gas.
I wasted 4 hours travel time and $250. I am extremely disappointed.

I’m so grateful for the professional and kind assistance that I received from Harp’s establishment. Jan K went above and beyond assisting me to make an event special. She definitely thought out of the box in order to ensure that my dress had not only the proper garments to accent my dress, but also the perfect look overall. Rather you’re near or far you will not be disappointed. Harp’s definitely is a gem of Birmingham.

My daughter showed me Harps on one of my trips to Michigan. Great service. She has now moved to Oregon. I suggested to her a sports bra to wear for comfort around the house. She was reluctant. I called and an amazing woman figured out a good option for her. The bra came in just a few days and it fit wonderfully. There are not alot of options for some sizes and my daughter was ecstatic! She had never had a bra without an undewire THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE.

Harp's has been my go to fitting place since I was a teenager and they were in Universal Mall. Mrs. H ran a great business and had such an awesome personality. Despite my growing body size (yes, I'm a fatty), they even managed to fit me into my bustier for my wedding dress many years ago. I went into the shop for the first time in about four years to be fitted. As I walked in, the people behind the counter and in front of the counter kind of just looked at me like I was some unfortunate person who wandered in off the street. I don't know if it was my size or that I was in jeans and a t-shirt? The clerk asked me how I could be helped and I told her I needed to be fitted. She showed me to a fitting room and I told her what I was looking for but she made a doubtful noise and kind of shook her head but said she'd look snd I told if all I could get was the same bra style I've been wearing for years, then so be it. She brought in four bras, some of the ugliest styles that thankfully didn't quite fit, and I did wind up with a different style that I did like. I asked her for another and it was again the doubtful attitude they didn't have another in stock, but she'd check. Of course they didn't. Normally on previous visits clerks asked if I wanted to order and she didn't offer so I just stated I wouldn't have her order me one because I didn't know when I could come back in (but I also wanted to be sure I liked the new style before ordering another). She was just like okay and was waiting to ring up the sale. I had also mentioned I wanted a bottle of Lovelast and she said she'd "give" me one. When my sale was rung up, she pointed out the sample bottle she put in the bag and I said I had wanted to buy a bigger bottle. She just kind of blew me off and didn't offer to get a larger bottle. Needless to say, this experience was not the best. I'm not sure if they've lost a long-time customer or not at this point. I will really have to give it a lot of thought and decide whether it's worth the effort to go through the snooty judgment walking in and the PITA parking situation to shop there again.

They are really helpful there. I was fitted by KAYE M (I think, a blonde lady) and she was super nice and found the correct nursing bra for me in about 5 mins. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for in most cases! Will be going back!

This place is magical. I've been going here for years and I'll travel back to Michigan just to buy my bras here. The generations of women that make this place are truly my fairy godmothers. I've gone too many lingerie/speciality bra shops in the US and nothing compares. They are so patient and caring. If nothing else, go for the experience of being sized properly and education you'll receive about lingerie.
