Have pushed us around for 3 weeks while trying to close an account. Don't open an account here and if you have one close it asap for your own sake.

I almost opened an account with them until I spoke with Sherry at the east side branch and Mary R at Birmingham. Two of the nastiest tellers. I first thought it was just Sherry then it carried over to Mary. All they wanted to do was tell me how busy they are. Save your time and effort and go to another Credit Union, you will be happy you did. It is a lot of work to switch then to be unhappy. So happy they showed how I would be treated so I could move on!!!

Until the various mergers happened and the place was still called Birmingham Bloomfield Credit Union, I couldn’t be a happier bank customer / member with them. Now tone and style dealing with members and the willingness to be there for them and to solve issues in a spirit of partnership - unlike the big banks - has changed a lot. It’s now hard to see the added value of a local place with its limitations, if it doesn’t act any more like it.

I've always loved my bank but now I'm highly disappointed that they're closed on Saturdays plus they no longer stay open until 6pm on Fridays. I literally work the same hours they operate and I have no chance to ever get to the bank now.

Best experience ever closing a loan. The most professional and organized company and bank. Renee made the entire process understandable, quick and easy. She is definitely one of the best in the business.

I applied for a small loan at the Waterford location on an asset owned outright - to rebuild my credit along with another open line of credit paid on time for a year . After working with the loan officer, Renee and veiwing my credit , we found 4 items , 3 of which did not belong to me on my report that would hold up getting loan . I was told that once those 3 were disputed by me and one other small item due, the loan could go through . 3 weeks later , the items were disputed, which was a pain in the butt to do and taken off my credit but then there were 3 other issues and she would have still kept going had I not eagerly and nicely walked out . In short, I did a lot of footwork to comply with she advised to get the loan just to go back in for her to give me multiple more reasons to not get the loan. Moreover, her I could give a careless attitude is why I'm drafting this review .

Been a member for approximately 41 years and have received better service here than any other financial institution. I like being a member/owner rather than just a profit margin of a bank.

Andrew Staley, the CEO, forbade his manager to wave an overdraft fee for a 27 year customer. I couldn't believe it, I thought it was a joke. What CEO would lose a 27 year customer for $30 that was charged in error to a CLOSED account I wasn't using? Well, apparently Andrew Staley. And he wouldn't even talk to me, I could only get transferred to his voicemail. Closed my account today and told everyone in the bank why. They all seemed to not be surprised. Used to be like Cheers here where everybody knows your name. Under New Management now...

Birmingham Bloomfield Credit Union is tucked away in Birmingham on Lincoln just west of Woodward. It also has another branch located in Waterford. I used to belong to a credit union near the General Motors Tech Center years ago when I was still working. I came in to inquire about their accounts and loan programs that may help out with our business finances. I met with one of their loan officers to discuss the application and provide clarification where needed. Some banks make you feel like their focus is finding things to disqualify a loan approval. Here at Birmingham Bloomfield Credit Union I felt more like they were evaluating various ways and ideas to improve the chances of getting an approval. Whichever way this works out, everyone seems very knowledgeable about the different loan and investment programs they have to work with...
