“This store is always very professional and everyone always makes sure I am able to find the products I need. Their service is superior! Mal is the best when it comes to designing kitchen cabinets! He makes sure the layout is correct, asks questions to make sure it’s exactly what you want and follows up with you! I will always go to this store vs Lowe’s and I am going to be purchasing all the countertops from here as well. Never had a bad experience here. Thank you for setting the bar high!”
“It's very important asset to the community. More than you could hope for in a small town. Hardware/garden center. You'll be surprised what you find inside. The prices are very fair as well. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Truly a hidden gem that is vital to the community.”
“Came here to get a transformer for my furnace due to mine going out. They were quick to help me out but unfortunately I bought the wrong part. I hadn't received a receipt upon exiting the store but they were able to pull up a copy and get me a refund! Very helpful and understanding!”
“Nice selection of bath and kitchen products. Staff is knowledgeable and willing to assist in achieving your decor dreams. Pricing was surprisingly in line with most retailers including big box and online. Definitely a place to check out if your looking to beautify the kitchen or bath.”
“After going to three Lowes, and 5 other hardware stores to get and part or fix a piece of hardware over 75 years old, they had the perfect remedy.
This is why we should never stop listening to our elderly or older generations. They did things with their hands and minds to fix things.
I had a stripped faucet from 1947 that I did not want to throw away and had been piecing it back together to its original appearance for the past year. When I was trying to reattach the faucet the under-sink washers/ bolts would not tighten due to the faucet being stripped and would not be tight on the sink. The faucet would wobble on the left side when turning it off and on. A refurbish place in California wanted to charge me $50 for a bolt and $20 for shipping. Ouch! I was tempted.
After explaining my situation to an elderly gentleman, he looked at me and laughed a little and said just use painters' tape and be done with it. I was like, ok, seriously!
However, seriously, it was perfect, tight and snug and FREE.
Wise people work here.”
“Had an issue with pricing being different than listed online. Spoke with the manager about the issue and he fixed and and even wheeled the item out to my vehicle for me. The good service is definitely appreciated.”
“Best stocked hardware in the Twin-City area! Extremely friendly and helpful service! If they don't have it, they can get it! Stop in for a bag of popcorn and a friendly smile today!”

“I came in at 9pm because I urgently needed a humidifier for work. Since it’s summertime, I could only find dehumidifiers. I approached an associate named Ray for help finding one. Ray provided me with amazing customer service, and although there were some technical difficulties outside of his control with finding the location of the product on the device he was using, he still found a way to help me. He led me to the aisle with the product, and it was on a shelf 30 feet in the air. He promptly brought another employee to spot him, and brought the equipment needed to get the humidifier down. They closed off the aisles, brought down the pallet, and he gave me the item. I could not be more appreciative. Ray’s dedication to exemplary customer service is something I have not found at any other store. Simply amazing. Thank you Ray!”
“I am new to the area and Village Do-It-Best is my favorite store in Berrien Springs. What to expect: clean and organized store. Knowledgable clerks. Good equipment. Fast, friendly, and neighborly clerks.I still have yet to browse the store completely. Great selection of hand tools, specialty fasteners, building supplies, cleaning supplies, housewares, tools, gardening supplies, and more. Maybe you just need a lawn mower for a day or a scaffolding for a week? One can rent just about everything here. The only thing not on the list that I hoped to find was a chainsaw (which, for maintenance reasons, is a rare offer for any tool rental service). My favorite feature of Village Do-It-Best is their great selection of canning goods.”
