I give this an extra star as I think the new owners need some time and slack. A lot of things are out of their control, especially when the weather changes. However, this place has potential but needs someone to put love into it. Very few trees now, and some look diseased. There are signs that say under construction so that gives me hope. What is totally unacceptable is the state of the roads. My grandma is interred in the back, and the roads are straight out of a third world country. I would be embarrassed to have the roads open the way they are. They have been citing inflation as a reason why they haven’t been able to tackle these issues. It can’t be too expensive to buy gravel from Home Depot to fill in the pot holes. Also tons of trash and debris laying on top of graves, and it looks as if they’ve been sitting there for weeks.Half of my family is interred at white chapel and there’s constant maintenance and fully paved roads throughout. It’s obvious this place has been neglected for many years and hopefully the new owners step it up.

I grew up in the Detroit area and my grandfather was buried at this cemetery in 1976. I now live in another state and called there before a trip home to see if they could look him up and tell me where his grave is because I couldn't remember. The woman I spoke with was rude and acted like I was bothering her. She said there was no way to find that information because the records didn't go back that far. I couldn't believe that a large historical cemetery would not keep records. She should not be dealing with the public, thats for sure. So, I wasn't able to visit his grave on that visit. Unacceptable.

My family has MANY members at Roseland Park, and my mother recently passed. We have NEVER dealt with such poor service, and bad attitude from people in this type of business. It's bad when you call, yet again, and are told by the person answering the phone that she is basically the "clean up person" from all the upset people calling, and then agrees that it's not the same well run place it used to be. That is sad.

The grounds have not been well cared for over the last few decades. Today, I drove by a family monument that was almost completely hidden y a dead tree that collapsed on it in section 17. Shameful!

Rude. Assuming and inconsiderate.Well, after reading all of the other reviews, I see that my experience was definitely not personal. You just don't know how to run a cemetery. Next time I call, I will just expect the rudeness.

This is a super sad review to make. My family is buried here. My great grandparents, my grandparents and my mother and father. I have called so many times to get their grave sites fixed, many are now under the grass and weeds. I have gone out there yearly to clean them myself, they said they would put peet down and raise the stones, but that never happened. My mother was buried in 2021, and they still haven't etched her stone with the date. I paid for the services and the guy I paid, apparently died from Covid, sadly. The manager called me a year ago apologized, said they would do right, and never did. There is also a guy there, does the sales, who is rude and could care. I wanted to keep our family together and be buried there with my kids and husband, but that wont happen now. Its just a shame. I will probably have to hire someone else and pay again to have myMothers stone etched.

You really need to spend some time cleaning off the the head stones that are ground level. I went to go vistit loved ones, I know where their graves are, but I could not find them, because in that whole area ALL the stones are completely covered over with grass. I even tried digging around with a stick and my hands. Very disappointing. Called and the lady who answered the phone was not nice. Wrong kind of attitude to be woking at a cemetery. She has a cold dead heart. Extremely rude. Just wanted to have them cleaned off or flagged so I clean them myself.

My moms grandpa is buried here. He was a Vietnam veteran. He died in 91' A month ago we went to clean his grave. It actually didn’t look bad. He’s buried near the back. But some of the grave also near the way back were dirty but I understand because it’s hard to get back there. Honestly it looked beautiful! Would definitely come back to visit. Best cemetery I’ve visited in my lifetime. I thought it was interesting that there’s historical & newer graves. Also I found it cool that Rob Tyler’s buried there! To anyone else, definitely visit it! It’s a nice scene to see.

Be very careful with any contract with this cemetary. If you have a credit and do another contract they will charge you the sales tax before the credit is applied which is illegal. Place is mostly a dump with four feet pot holes and mud to your knees. Rotting trees that fall on the headstones and remain that way. Stay away. Bunch of Crooks!!!!!

Richard, in the office, was very personable and professional when we visited. Located my grandfather's plot, answered many questions, even visited the plot with us to help confirm other family members' locations.

Members of my family have been buried there starting in 1978.It was very nice then. Now it looks like a war zone. The road in is like pothole test track and you can only go about 5mph to avoid damage to your car.the grounds are a disgrace and I now hate that my family is buried there.Twice when I have been there visiting my family, there was drinking and loud gatherings at nearby graves.I’ll probably receive the same response that everybody else receives.Nobody there seems to give a damm.Marland whitley

Laid some flowers on my grandmother's grave for her birthday and they've got people selling t-shirts at the entrance. So much for dignity...

The grounds were nice but that employee kiven was so disrespectful at the grave site ,towards the son of the lady being intrusted to ur care an interment he should never be allowed to attend any further funerals, period ,???

This cemetery is absolutely horrible. Had problems with them with the actual burial of my father, which is the last thing you need during a time of grief. Now, ten months later and in the middle of summer, absolutely nothing has been done with his grave --- same pile of dirt that was there when we buried him. Unless you want to amplify your grief, don't use this organization. They're shameful.
