If you read nothing else, be aware that they dangerously and recklessly overserve alcohol to obviously intoxicated patrons. My fiancée and I attended the Blackthorn set on the evening of Saturday, April 20th, 2024. The star in this review goes to the band – the venue deserves none. Upon being greeted and taken to seating, we were surprised and disappointed to find ourselves jammed at the end of a long family-style table. Things only got worse when our tablemates arrived. There was a group of about eight who were seated with us, very loud and noticeably intoxicated already upon their arrival. My fiancée had a drink spilled all over her by the woman seated beside her. One patron was especially out of control, and he was seated next to me and across from my fiancée. By the end of the dinner course, he was so drunk that he was falling over himself, and eventually decided to leave early and departed with a few others from the group. Repeated high-value curse words abounded well into the music set, and I legitimately worried for my fiancée’s and my safety. Needless to say, this detracted in a great way from our enjoyment of the show. The bass player even at one point told this group to tone it down. Through it all, the server continued to serve this group several alcoholic beverages. Meanwhile, my fiancée and I (who ordered sodas), had to wait an excessive amount of time for just a single refill, while the server was more concerned with filling expensive bar drinks to pad her tip.The food itself was bland and dry, and the Reubens were inconsistently prepared (one of us got a single piece of meat while the other’s was piled high with meat). The menu was very limited for the set, and the price of every item was jacked up by at least $3 compared with the normal prices; we know because we reviewed the menu in the parking lot before going inside. There is really nothing Irish at all about this food or ambiance. The food prices are laughable for what you get.The surrounding community should know of this establishment’s negligent actions on Saturday night. I’m sure the local authorities would be interested to know as well. Such a poignant and sad coincidence that this was the same day of the fatal tragedy in Monroe County that saw a woman drive through a building, killing two young children, after being overserved at a nearby tavern.Do better O’Mara’s. This was my first and last time patronizing this place, but for my fiancee’s part you lost a longtime customer. Things have apparently gone downhill in a major way in recent years.Kid-friendliness: Not a place for kids in the least.

Much reduced menu from before their fire. The food was good, but they didn't have what we came for.

It was quiet and late, we were treated so beautifully by Susan our server! She was so amazing and funny! Our food: fish and chips and O'Mara"s chicken were perfect and bread pudding was outstanding! Nice

My friend suggested this, not having been in years but there were doing a limited menu. The food is so expensive (18 bucks for sliders, which are literally small cheeseburgers). We had some Guinness and went to another restaurant. Server was so nice but slow to greet us and the inside of this place is definitely more of a bingo hall or nursing home than somewhere you'd go with friends in your 30s. Theres also nothing Irish about this place. Not for me.

Came for a Blackthorn show on a Sat night-- used to do this regularly for years, but hadn't been back since before covid. We had a res for 4 and, instead of being seated at our own table, we were seated family style in one long table the length of the dining room, elbow to elbow with others, with 3 of us on one side and 1 of us on the other (which made conversing difficult). Whatever, we decided to roll with it. Service was solid, but the food was so disappointing. 2 of us ordered fish and chips (pan fried, "fishy" fish and cold potato wedges) and 2 of us ordered the perch (both reported it was not great-- or even warm). It was so underwhelming. The band was great, but only played for about 90 min (they used to play 2 sets with an intermission). Overall, an underwhelming experience. It's too bad, because I bragged about this place to my partner, who had never been... and he was so confused about the hype afterwards. I'm hoping they find their footing again, but I doubt we'll be back.

Our family had a lunch for 35. The food was delicious, the staff was great, and planning was easy. The room had audio-visual available, all we had to do was bring a thumb drive. Kevin and Lou took care of everything! They made our event memorable. I would highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

My family has been coming here for decades. This was the first time we were back since they rebuilt after their fire. It's good to be back! I took my mom out for Valentine's dinner and it was really fun. They had live music and a pre fix menu. The wine was flowing and the vibe was fun. The lighting was fun too. My mom had the fish and chips and I'm really glad she let me try it because it was delicious. I enjoyed my lobster tacos. It was a special for the night and a nice treat. Delicious bread pudding for dessert. Full bar. Everyone is very nice here. One of the owners came and chatted with us and welcomed us back. Excellent service. Plenty of parking in their lot. And you can drive right up to the front door and drop people off or pick them up. Outdoor patio too. The women's bathroom is a delight! So fun with a bridal mirror so you can step up and see yourself from all angles. It's a good time here.
