Our 2 year old has been enrolled for about 9 months and she is very happy. She loves her friends and teachers and is learning a lot. We have not had any issues or concerns. Love that they provide diapers, wipes, nap time items and all food, it makes drop off such a breeze. The staff have all been very kind and attentive.

As a parent whose child has been enrolled at Berkley KinderCare since its inception, I can attest to the extremely positive experience we've had with this childcare center. From the very beginning, the dedication and expertise of the teaching staff have consistently exceeded our expectations. We have always had positive experiences with the staff and Ms. Gabby, Ms. Stephanie, and Ms. Audrey are amazing. Even amidst the management transition last year, these teachers remained and ensured a seamless transition for the children and families.
Having had an older child attend Berkley Building Blocks, we can also attest to the noticeable difference in academic readiness between the two programs. Our son has thrived academically under the guidance of the KinderCare curriculum, and we firmly believe he is well-equipped to start elementary school.

We have loved our experience at Berkley KinderCare! We originally attended a different KinderCare center and due to an office location change needed to transfer to Berkley about six months ago. The communication is great and prompt and our child has so much fun everyday. Additionally, I can tell from my interactions with my kiddo that there is a lot of learning going on at the center! It's so rewarding to see your little one learn and grow ?. The staff is so caring and I feel they all know my child and my family. The center is also great about using the app so I can see photos and updates throughout the day.

***If you take anything from this review, know that I pulled both my toddler (who had been with the center since opening day in 2021) and my infant with NO future care set up. With infant waitlists YEARS long in the area, I opted for no childcare, that is how unsafe things are here.***ALSO OF NOTE: THIS CENTER IS ON A PROVISIONAL LICENSE WITH THE STATE OF MICHIGAN FOR NUMEROUS CONFIRMED CHILDCARE VIOLATIONS. That essentially means a suspended license. These reports are available for public access via LARA.We started with our oldest immediately when the center opened. We absolutely loved it and with little local family support, the management, teachers, and families were truly our village. In February 2023, new center management, Sarah (LaQuante) and Pam, took over and things rapidly went downhill. Both of my children have severe food allergies. My youngest had multiple exposures to his food allergens requiring medication administration (contact and being fed them) and my oldest son was fed one of his anaphylactic allergens at lunch. He was fed this in the center lunch right before naptime and THANK GOD only reacted with vomiting and diarrhea. If he would have stopped breathing or gone into further anaphylactic shock during naptime, my child could have been dead. After all of the incidents with their allergies, the center was then found in violation for improper medication storage of their lifesaving epipens and antihistamines. I went to double check my sons emergency pack and they had removed and split his medications with ZERO communication. My husband and I also witnessed a new staff member forcefully grab and pull a student in my sons class. After an “internal investigation” was done by the District Manager, Aubree, we were told the staff member “showed promise” and would not be left in single ratio scenarios with students. I then personally witnessed this individual in single ratio situations with students. I reported this to Aubree and received no response from her.Staff and other parents have also reported issues with ratio at this center MULTIPLE times over safety concerns. There was also a violation for students being left unattended in my sons classroom when one of the parents discovered 4 students left with no teacher when he was dropping off his son. THIS IS NOT NORMAL.The staff turnover at the center was also unreal. Classroom closures had been mandated weekly due to staffing issues. So not only was there inconsistency in care for working parents, but also a concerning inconsistency in who was caring for the children. The way we have since found out staff members were being treated is upsetting. But, was senior management aware of this you may ask? The number of times myself and other parents were in contact with the District Leader, Aubree Marino, and Regional Manager, Dada London, regarding safety concerns are too numerous to count. At this point, even if center management was no longer there, I would STILL tell you to avoid this place at all costs. Senior management is FULLY aware of all of these dangerous events and violations with no visible recourse or changes. My son has since started a new facility that is phenomenal. I kid you not when I say nearly HALF of his previous class of 20 kids from Berkley KinderCare are at the new center in his class, plus many of the amazing teachers who left. This is not counting the numerous other former students/parents who were not in his class that we run into on a daily basis at his new daycare.Believe me when I say that the negative reviews on this center are not from “disgruntled staff” but parents like myself trying to warn others. If you value your child’s safety and well-being, do yourself a favor and look at other facilities. You and your children deserve so much better.

A majority of the reviews are posted by ex-staff (using fake names and accounts - I would be weary to hire those involved, so check resumes!) in an attempt to sabotage the center. We are incredibly disappointed in the individuals looking to defame, discredit the daycare and they should be ashamed of themselves for retaliating in such an immature way versus staying at the center and being a part of the change. We support our teachers and the center staff! Our daughter is now attending and we are impressed by the staff in the infant rooms. Each child has a separate crib cubby, the teachers are wonderful with her care, drop offs are easy since we are not required to bring diapers, wipes, etc.Our son LOVES Berkley KinderCare! We have had such a great experience with the teachers, staff, and love that the new facility has a gym for the kids to run around on rainy / cold days, the rooms are equipped with kid size toilets awesome for potty training, the app gives me assurance to throughout the day to see what my son and his friends are up to - and the facility literally provides everything (wipes, diapers, food, sheets, etc). We love KinderCare!

Believe the negative post, the place has become terrible over the span of 10 months due to new management and staff. They are getting new parents to leave positive post without them actually knowing everything that’s happening. Management is terrible, even the desk people and their are teachers who will be sleeping or on their phones watching your children just giving them the iPad to not have to interact with them. I have called and asked about the negative reviews and they act like they don’t know why or what you are asking about

KinderCare Berkley is a wonderful daycare. My son has aged out but had a wonderful experience and is excelling in elementary school now. My daughter is in preK now and has THE BEST teacher who is welcoming and really cares about each and every one of her students. The director is kind and caring and we are very happy with care we have received.

I’m very close with two children that attend the center and their parents have nothing but great things to say about the staff and the care their kids are receiving. I love that I’m able to receive updates throughout the day, via the children’s account, to see the fun the kids are having!

The treatment of the children is just as bad as the treatment of the staff. I reached out to management “ we were left with improper management while director was on vacation” to inform them how overwhelmed I was working alone with children who would not listening to me and was completely ignored. I proceeded to tell them if I could not receive help I was going to quit which resulted in them putting me and my son out stating they didn’t want me to cause a scene.
You should be concerned with the care your children are receiving while at kindercare. There is a lot of inexperienced people watching the children and they are not taking proper care of them and they do not have proper training regarding caring for children. Please do not send your children here for their safety, they are better off elsewhere.

Please for the healthy and safety of your child, do not bring them here. Neither the center director, Sarah, nor her assistant, Pam, should have careers working with children. You’d never be able to guess that they are both mothers, as they lack essential qualities of empathy and overall humanity. I do not feel comfortable leaving my child somewhere management does not bother to introduce herself to me or take the time to learn my child’s name. Clearly I am not the only one feeling this way as I scroll through the numerous 1 star reviews. It truly baffles me that KinderCare has not addressed the elephant in the room of new management. Yikes!

Berkley KinderCare was such a great center until the new director came into place. The lack of communication she gives to parents and the way she treats her staff is disgusting . I knew every single child and parent and Sarah didn’t like it because I was well liked. She doesn’t care for your concerns if you have any she will just send you a generic message about “thank you for your feedback”. My son was neglected multiple times when it came to his care and he’s been there since he was 7 months old now he’s about 3. The inconsistency of the staff not knowing who your child’s teacher was going to be was upsetting because they aren’t learning anything. The new director Sarah is hiring staff members who “don’t even know if they like kids” as I have heard from multiple new staff members. She is a gaslighting, narcissistic person who runs a center full of kids. Not to mention the amount of calls licensing has gotten since she started being the new director. We went from an amazing center to a center that has so much negative energy that parents are pulling left and right. They do not feed the children proper nutrition nor do they have the right supplies for the children either from diapers, wipes to even cleaning supplies to make sure the center is nice and clean.
DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!!

Terrible place to send your children! It use to be beautiful and lively now it is just gloomy and empty. The place continues to run away it’s families and staff. The new people are very incompetent at caring for children.

Been on the waitlist for over a year now. A good friend of mine had her child enrolled here until not too long ago. After chatting with her more, I’ve decided this center probably won’t be the best option for us. New management doesn’t provide proper care that you hope for at a center. I want to forewarn everyone wanting to enroll here. I hate hearing what my friend went through and I will always advocate for children’s best interest.
