I had the most positive experience today at this branch. I did make an appointment, and needed to do three different transactions, two of which did require person to person assistance. Everything was completed within 22 minutes. There was no waiting, no chaos, no grumpy people. People, take advantage of the appointment schedule, and read what items you need to take along. This is definitely an improved process!!

Shelly was fantastic when I stopped by earlier this week. After a frustrating experience in Niles, we were lucky to snag a spot in BH. A long line when we walked in, but Shelly was directing people according to the new pandemic protocols, picking up appointments she could finish quickly to get people out the door, and also a shining personality that raised morale among the other employees. She deserves a raise!

Place is absolutely ridiculous...... no other way to explain it. They are open by appointment only. Next available open appointment can be 5 months away. When you do show up for your appointment plan on waiting in line for 2 hours. You can’t use the restrooms during your 2 hour wait. Because of covid restrooms are closed. Also you are not allowed to sit in a chair during your visit because of covid. I think I will take a walker with a seat during my next visit. Things could be worse. In the Communist Soviet Union it could take up to 10 years to take delivery of your new car.

Some years ago there was quicker service here. Now the wait is horrible. EVERY time I come in. Short of staff for this location's needs.

This is the worst run government off I have ever encountered. Have always had extended wait times and poor customer service but this latest adventure takes the cake. Went to Niles last week and had 20 people in front of my number, so after hanging out for a while it was announced "Our computers are down and we have no information as to when they will be restored" So I left. Went back today and found the office closed with just a paper notice on the door. Closed until further notice. What notice? I drove 30 miles one way after checking the internet and no notice of closing is posted. You people are a disgrace.

Just moved here from California and went in to get my license. The lady helping me called California to find out when my previous license had expired, and helped me avoid taking the test. I just paid for a Mich. license and was on my way. All the employees were friendly, competent, and helpful.

Always a long wait. If they have ten computers and staff four computers and always on a three hour wait why not staff more? Customer service is poor but I get that, I’d be mad too with all the people mad at me. There has to be a solution.

It is worth the drive to Dowagiac. There is no excuse for this kind of poor service. Only people from Illinois where they pay through the nose for government and feel fortunate to leave safely would rate highly. You think it is good as you don't know any better exists. Go to Grand Rapids at either of their SOS sites and you will find you do not have to sit in line forever. Or better yet go to Florida.

Want an assurance that the government doesn't care at all about people? Come to SOS office. 11 places for their employees to do the job, two of them actually doing it. Your time is not at all important at this real-life nightmare.

Slowest DMV/Secretary of State I've ever seen... On average 2.5 hour wait... just bad... Fix it lol....
