The staff here are pleasant and helpful but unfortunately not up to the task, or they are understaffed. A blanket on my kid’s bed had a blood stain on it and was ripped which we did not notice until the morning. The bathroom ceiling was patched but not painted. There was no battery in the smoke detector. The fold-out couch sheets were not clean and had to be replaced.
The hot tub was cold and doesn’t work but there is no indication of that until you step in it try to turn the dial. We noticed several other things in disrepair.
The staff responded quickly to the concerns they could address but the operation seems more reactive than proactive and ultimately, with the malfunctioning some detector and the blood stain made a for an unsafe situation for my family.

I hope this knocks down to a Two star hotel. Literally here for work. Gone ALL say til 9pm. Here to eat shower n sleep. Room was NOT clean when we got here. Party had clearly taken place. Confetti on top of tye picture tap on ceiling and walls and sprayed pop on walls. Bed was cleaned only and and a set of fresh towels. Didnt complain as I hoped the cleaners would catch it the next days. Nope got back at 9pm. No clean towels to shower or new TINY soap and STILL DIRTY. Had to get our own. Soap n towels for our 3 night stay. Front desk said he would talk to manager ? ok. Over $200 night for I guess a bed bug free bed and free breakfast and hot tub. Now I see why ppl don't tip. Never again will I stay here.
Rooms: Clean bed is all your getting. Not a clean room or room service unless you ask.
Noteworthy details: So much money for no real service. We serve ourselves breakfast and we clean our own rooms and get our own linens.

Extremely Disappointed with Hotel Owner and Unfair Business Practices!
I am extremely disappointed with the customer service and business practices at the Comfort Inn and Suites in Harbor, Michigan. On 3/23/24 rented a conference room for a graduation party and had to cancel due to circumstances beyond our control. I called on May 17, 2024 to cancel and was informed that there was a two-week cancellation policy. When I pointed out to Sara that I was calling 15 days in advance, she then assured me that she would work on getting me a refund from their accountant since they don’t keep cash on site. (I had paid $100 on my credit card on March 23 and $200 cash May 2.)
However, when I went back for the refund 5/19/24, it wasn’t ready. On Monday, May 20, I returned and was told that the owner decided to keep $150 and only refund $150. This was not reasonable or acceptable! Despite my protest, I was told that this decision was final.
This experience has left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. Their unwillingness to honor their own policy and their poor handling of the situation demonstrate a lack of integrity and respect for their customers. I would strongly advise against doing business with this hotel. NEVER, EVER!
Noteworthy details: Don’t do business with this hotel!
Owner of Benton Harbor hotel also owns Comfort Inn and suites in Stevensville Michigan. I would stay away from both of them.

We were supposed to have a graduation party for our foster daughter’s graduation and due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel.
According to the contract, you need to give them 14 days notice. We gave them 15 days notice. They said they were going to keep our $300.
After some haggling back-and-forth, they were only offering to refund $150.00 and not honor the terms of the agreement!!!!!
I would strongly suggest you look any place else other than this hotel for any events. They are not honest or have an ounce of integrity.
I wish I could give it a -5 stars! ?

DO NOT GO HEREEEEE FIND ANOTHER HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!First off me and my friends noticed ROACHES. as well as a dirty shower drain. No bath stopper. We complain about it and they don't carry any spray for the bugs. The hallways were dirty. The pool looked nasty and clouded. He tries to switch my room and walks in on other guest after saying the room was vacant. And the only thing that at least LOOKED comfortable was the lobby. And THEN THE ELEVATOR GOT STUCK AND WAS MOVING AS IF IT WERE ABOUT TO FALL. AND DIDNT EVEN BRING US TO OUR FLOOR WE HAD TO WALK DOWN THE EMERGENCY FIRE EXIT!

Went for a little weekend getaway. It was nice and quiet. The pool was amazing it was heated so it was nice and hot. The hot tub in the pool area did not work and was very cold. Check-in and out were easy. The staff was nice.

First off I never write reviews but,
It was a great stay... And the staff was cool as hell and very friendly starting at check in with desk manager around 8pm, breakfast attendant and the morning staff..
Rooms: The room was clean with a nice llayout. Everything worked.. clean linen and towels. Comfortable..
Also had a couch.
Clean clean clean..
Food & drinks: The free breakfast has many options. Very clean... Ate too much..
Noteworthy details: Pool and hot tub clean and warm....

Stay Elsewhere! Started our first room we could get the lock to work, no big deal we switched rooms. Room had hole in wall, no secondary lock on door. Around midnight a party started 2 doors down LOUD, I called the front desk no answer, went down to desk there was someone sitting in front of the phone. Told him to get that room quiet, he went up to the party talked to them 5 minutes later it escalated. Tried to call front desk again neither of my 2 phones had dial tones. Called the hotel using cell phone told the guy to take care of the party. “ I tried he said” told him to call 911 or throw them out. He went to the room within minutes it started again until 2:30am . I contacted corporate requesting refund was told to talk to manager. He was supposed to call me , never happened, corporate never followed up. What a huge disappointment, rip off, poor customer service.

Dirty bathroom, closet mirrors, bed headboards and table dirty with handprints and grease, drawers full of something oily.
I was only there for a few hours at night and I didn't want to take a bath because of the unhygienic nature of the bathroom.

Where do I start!? Easy! Not here. From the moment we checked in, the front desk employee was very unprofessional, looked to be lacking very simple personal hygiene and did not make us feel comfortable or welcome. We then checked into our room. Right away it was very noticeable the room was not cleaned. The carpet was full of crumbs, trash was visible throughout the room. We then proceeded to check out the bathroom and beds. The pull out did not even have a mattress! (We booked our stay for 5 people)There was a huge white line of some sort of substance or chemical behind the pull out, as well as trash and food. The actual beds, had what to seem to be urine, blood, and other unpleasant colors and odors. After all of this, we went down to the front desk to address the situation and condition of the room. The same employee attempted to resolve the problem by switching us rooms. However during this, he seemed very annoyed and did not believe us. At this point we wanted to leave, get our money back, but he refused to do anything but switch our room. It was late , 2 young kids whom were tired of traveling just wanted to lay their heads on a pillow. So we accepted to go to the new room. The next room was still not properly maintained, but way better than the last. It was the best of the worst. After getting settled in, the neighboring room had banging on the wall and screaming and yelling coming from the room. This continued for a bit and we became concerned for a persons health next door. We called the front desk , but they seemed unfazed and did nothing of the situation. Banging on the walls , screaming, crying, yelling , not what you want your children to hear late at night and into the morning. Eventually the sun came up, the neighboring room next door was still loud, unsettling and unresolved. We left and advise no one to go there! This needs to be checked out bye the FDA, Health Department and shut down! It is clearly not up to code! An unsafe building with noticeable drug usage and trafficking. Stay away! ( I was ish we would have taken photos and recorded things) but it was so late and we were tired from traveling we didn’t even think to do so. We would have felt safer sleeping under a bridge on the south side of Chicago!

Best part was it was easy to get to
Noteworthy details: Hotel was disgusting, pool and hot tub seemed like old stale, cloudy water that hadn’t been circulated in quite some time. Saw a live cockroach in one stairwell, complete with a ‘pest catcher’ in the other, breakfast wasn’t stocked, no extra blankets for the pull out, hot water was non existent in the morning, and the beds were extremely uncomfortable.
