“Love, love, LOVE Hometown Pets! My GSD puppy struggled with allergies so severe that he not only was losing hair, he was also losing weight rapidly. I found a very slim selection of dog food that my puppy was able to eat, however I couldn't find a store that carried it. I called Hometown Pets, spoke with the owner - explained my dogs allergy situation and asked her to order me a very particular brand of dog food, she ordered it that same week, had that very next week - I now get all of my pet supplies from Hometown Pets. Although I have to admit, if you go into the store - go in with a blindfold because she ALWAYS has sales going and they're ALWAYS too good to walk away from.”

“We are very happy with our new addition to the family, Emi, she is part Pekinese, shitzu and poodle, very healthy and happy. She came to Pet City from a small Amish family breeder. Our older dog, we also found at Pet City, is was from a small breeder in SE Michigan. Pet City uses only local small breeders and all the puppies have their puppy shots and seen by a veterinarian. We checked them out thoroughly before doing business with them. Very wonderful service and nice people to work with, helpful with feeding and puppy advice.”

“11/10! They are so good with my dogs, one has severe anxiety. They always cut my babies exactly how I ask, and they ALWAYS look so good. All of the staff are super friendly. AND, Once I got home I realized that even my dogs COLLARS were clean - including the velcro bow on our ones collar. Absolutely get your fur baby’s hair trimmed here!”

“Friendly and helpful staff. Great aquatics department, and many of the employees are fish enthusiasts as well. Even if you are curious about bringing a new animal into the family they can guide you in the right direction, and get you set up with the necessities to best take care of your new pet. They told me that blue ram chiclids get along with certain angel fish which is working out great. The employees are really remarkable and they are a big reason why I’m a huge fan of PetCo in Canton.”

I can't think of a negative, or even remotely sub-par, interaction with anyone working here. They are eager to help, greet you warmly at the door and their prices are awesome. We love supporting small businesses in Belleville.
