This place has a reputation for being a little more expensive than other thrift stores in the area, but it’s only by a dollar or so for their clothing. Everything else is pretty comparable in price to goodwill, and they do offer coupons and a rewards program, which helps. They have a better selection of stuff and I’m able to find a lot more of what my kids need here, which makes up for the price IMO. The staff has always been nice as well, and their place is clean. No complaints here!

Even though the money is for good cause I feel there are many overpriced items. These are used items, some used more than others. Some may be new as well. Those that are should be new item prices. However those gently used and used items should not be. I do find some good deals in there on the rare occasions I make it into Belding and stop in so therefore I will shop again. The cause is good.

The store is clean and well organized. Aisles are wide enough. The products are fairly priced. The money we spend here goes to a good cause.

First of all the prices are absolutely ridiculous! Apparently they are not interested in moving their items. Wouldn’t it be better to make some money on an item instead of it just sitting there???? And to top it off when I was checking out I found a chip out of one of the pieces. The girl had tallied it up but I hadn’t given her my money yet. She wouldn’t remove the $5.99 from my bill. I hadn’t paid yet & I felt like saying forget it, keep everything. I didn’t. Just decided I will NEVER go to that place again. Go ahead and play the Christian music throughout your store, and have Ministries in your title. As far as I’m concerned, Christian or ministry is not what your store is about. It’s very sad to think you could do so much for people but are obviously unwilling to.

Grossly over priced. Full blown retail on used products. C'mon guys....you're distorting the meaning of thrift stores. People go to these places to get a good deal because they can't afford new... you're making it hard to afford used. Do better!!

I remember the first we got MTM! Was a joke! Got Goodwill back and then they left. Mel Trotter Ministries came back with a much improved selection, setup, prices etc. Don't even think about going to Goodwill anymore!

Some items are priced a little much, (but that's not the employees fault). However I still love going in here because you can still get some great deals on items, plus the staff are always friendly and the store is clean.

They have a lot of fantastic stuff; however, the prices have increased exponentially! It's confusing to me that this is supposed to be an organization that helps those in need, yet its prices are such that many still cannot afford it, and even if you can afford it, why spend it when you can go to local stores & get it on the sales rack for the same price or less? They also price everything they consider "designer" higher than other items. Even if the item is worn out and ratty, it's sad.

They have really decent stuff here and I use to love going here but whoever prices stuff there now is just not good at there job I saw a dog treat container I could get at the dollar store for 1.25 marked for 2.99 at Mel trotter and I could get a coffee pot for 3.99 and now it's double that people go there for deals and seems like there's not much of a deal here anymore.
