I wish that I was not tied to this bank with a low mortgage rate from years ago. I have had nothing but problems. I would not suggest using this institution.

My husband and I needed a new furnace and it was during the cold months. Megan was very quick to respond to my emails in helping us try and get approved for a loan. She was so helpful in answering any Qs we had and was very efficient and sweet. If anyone is in need of a loan of any kind, I would recommend to go and see her! Thank you again Megan!!

I had a great experience at Independent Bank on Euclid. Jolene helped me, and not only was she polite and friendly, she was genuinely kind. Jolene went above and beyond for me, even helping/getting me things I needed before I asked. I'll continue going back as she was one of the most pleasant bank workers I've had the pleasure of speaking. Independent Bank would only benefit having a few more employees like her!

I recently had a charge come out of my account that made my account overdraw. I had recieved notification funds were pending to come out.The account still had overdrawn. This situation was taken care of within an hour of the funds being pulled out of my account, not even during business hours. I took care of the situation as soon as I was made aware of it, I have NEVER had an over draft with this bank. I spoke with a manager (Ashley) on the situation. She was rude, condensending, treating me as if I was a constant problem, when this is the first time I have ever encountered a problem with an over draft, and I was on top of it that same night. I will no longer keep my business at a place where I am treated like that. I wouldnt treat another person like that... let alone a customer.

All branches shut down Friday and throughout the weekend as well as telephone banking and online services. I am unable to access my money in any way and after 17 years I will be closing out my accounts and starting over with another bank. Seems you care more about pushing your One Wallet then retaining customers.

I love my bank on Euclid in bay city. Most of the employees know me by my first name.. Rather impressed.. The staff is very friendly & goes out of they're way to help me!

12 minutes to tell me they wanted to put a hold on check and cash a different one. Not really sure the teller knew what he was doing.
If my local branch wasn't as good as it is I'd be long gone from Independent. The larger branches are not what I need in a bank

I would recommend the Euclid Ave branch to anyone. The tellers are friendly and knowledgeable. Any problems I have encountered have been resolved quickly and courteously. They have been my first choice of banks to handle my financial needs and always will be.

I have had a mortgage since 2003 and they have overcharged fees on a regular basis, "saying my payments aren't posted???" And those payments arent even the amounts i paid, (something is fishy/Explain to me how a payment made 2 weeks prior to due date isnt posted??? Everytime i try to get answers nobody knows what is going on and they keep changing my payment amounts, (shouldnt be changing multiple times in short 4 month timeframe). They keep tacking on fees so when mypayments are sent, they're so "CONVIENTLY" late. I am fed up and sick of INDEPENENT BANK/MORTGAGE CO taking advantage of low income households, because its not right. I am a customer and deserve to be treated as so and not your bottom line! Very dissapointed in this bank, look elsewhere for banking.

ATM doesn't work about 50% of the time and if you work alot (like me 55+ hrs a week ) and they can't get a hold of u to let u know that u have another bank account with them that has been inactive for 2 years,they will just turn off ur ATM card.
