Stopped by for the first time a month ago. Paul was very helpful and friendly. I found things there that I haven't seen anywhere else. Prices are very fair. I look forward to next visit there. Cool fishing / fly shop.

I highly recommend Uncle Jake's Fly Shop. It's a great shop because: The owners are right there to serve customers. Paul Jakubiak has a wealth of knowledge about tying, fishing, casting, and all other aspects of the sport. The shop has great inventory. Paul, Cat, Sid, and other associates are not only friendly and helpful--they go to great lengths to help and teach people about fly fishing through public fly casting events, open fly tying nights, lessons, and workshops. At open fly tying (which has been on hold due to the pandemic) I have seen, up close and personal, tiers making, in my opinion, world-class flies and sharing their knowledge. Uncle Jake's Fly Shop can get you into fly fishing without breaking the bank. Please make your list, give them a call, and go there instead of ordering online. You won't regret it.

I discovered this shop a few years ago when I was extremely enthusiastic to get into fishing. What I found is that you won’t find better people in the business than Paul and Cat. They would give the shirt off their backs or make you one if they didn’t have the size. They are passionate about the sport but even more about the customers that stop in and support them. Many people are intimidated by fly fishing but they take the time to set you up with the right gear and even teach you how to use it. They will special order most of their product lines if they don’t have it. Buy local and support Uncle Jakes!
