Not to bad today. Could have used more than 1 person up front. You can find some good items in this store. Valentine stuff is already up so stock up.

The store was very dirty and messy. Long wait in line. Cashier was not friendly. But they do have a wonderful Christmas selection. Ornaments, crafts, flowers. If you don't mind the atmosphere this is where you go for Christmas decorations and tins.

We are from NYC and not from the area but visiting. After purchasing a few glass items, I noticed the lady at the cash register did not wrap any of the breakables in any paper. They were just thrown into the thinnest plastic bag full of other items I purchased and looked as though it would tear at any moment. I asked my child to run back in and ask for some paper to wrap my glass in and the next thing I know my son is telling me that the heavier lady with brown hair told him to go ask his "grandma" to come back herself to get the paper and when he corrected her and said it was his mother not grandmother, this employee actually laughed. I am in my early 20's so not a grandmother yet and from the situation, I could gather that this employee was not being kind and could not fool me when I came back into the store and asked her why she called me that since it was obvious I was not an older woman and that I never did anything offensive to her to provoke such unprofessional disgusting behavior. I do not know what kinds of people are being hired these days, but I do not have to be nice to people who are this rude. When I got back into the car, my friend told me that this employee was not only unprofessional but also jealous because she was both ugly inside and out.

Only one person working, messy floor, come on management step up

This store is always messy and littered with packaging all over the floors and frequently has inventory just sitting in boxes in their respective isles, but not put away. I think the owner should consider higher wages and more workers, so they can share responsibility to keep the store clean and tidy while also serving customers. Food is sold there now and a certain level of cleanliness is to be expected.

First of all, I love the Dollar Tree. On my most recent visit I bought a few items and the cashier was quite charming. We were discussing her reaction to the allergy season. I requested $50 cash back. And in our chatting she forgot to give it to me. And to be fair I forgot to ask for it. I called the next morning because they were about to close. I spoke to the manager who told me to please come in and they would sort it out. So I drove the 30 minutes to the store to be told that she asked the employee if she had given me the cash and the employee stated that she had. I would have remembered if I was given two twenties and a ten, give ten, or a fifty dollar bill. Upon arrival, the manager simply said she had to respect her employees statement that she gave me the cash. She also said there was no camera to review the transaction. The camera story infuriated me. I also commented that if she knew from the start that she was not going to honor my request to receive the cash that I deserved, why did she make me drive an hour round trip to be told no. She claimed at that time she did not yet reach the employee. In my judgment she should have found the employee and then gave me such an answer. I made it perfectly clear that I am not someone who would pull any kind of fast one. It's totally clear to me that when the cashier counted the drawer down she was 50 over, in cash, and there was no proof, so it went into her pocket. All I can say is I pray that she needed that $50 to feed her family then I might feel okay about someone lying to me. I'm the kind of person if she would have asked me for the $50 I would have given it to her. I felt that the management handled this as close to the worst solution possible available to her. This is not management material. I realize that I was at Dollar Tree. It is not a high-end store. But there are hundreds of them across the Nation. I do not feel that the manager handled this well. I told her if I were she, I would keep an eye on that employee. No matter how pleasant you are a thief is a thief. I know that I did not receive this money. I have checked everywhere. I don't forget things like this. I am hugely disappointed in Dollar Tree and this specific Dollar Tree for what I consider to be an issue handled the wrong way. A gift card would have been a comptomise. I was basically being told I lied. So my suggestion to all future customers, don't ever ask for cash back. That way you won't be treated as I was, or out $50.
