Since about 2021 Apple Valley in Battle Creek is so confusing to walking in. Special orders get mixed up or never ordered. I ask one person and then someone tells me somethings else. They have changed their policies on discounts and coupons several times. There is one lady with short dark hair with glasses and she will talk so loud right over the top of you. Decided to quit going there.

For some reason every time I come here the store feels a bit sterile.Prices are HIGH but I pay them for the convenience.Staff varies. Last time she finished her lengthy personal conversation with someone before she helped me. Just not a great vibe tbh.

It's a nice store. Good products. Good bulk foods. But, I wish they would use twist ties on bagged items instead of red tape. It's hard to get off safely and can't be reused

Definitely not friendly and couldn't tell me any information on any of the vitamins, plus when I asked for help she was rude.. I will spend my money somewhere else

I’m glad Battle Creek has a store that offers healthy supplements and foods since meijer and Walmart are lacking. I wish Apple valley would expand so they can have more options and diversity. Would love to see Ora Organics as an option.Also, I know the ladies working mean well but holy cow. Constant yelling to talk to each other every time I’m in the store. the lady with the short black hair and glasses is soooo loud. Every word gives me a headache. She’s very vocal and will make rude remarks. I shop here a lot and every request I make of her seems to irritate her. Just gives me a very uncomfortable feeling and I know others who’ve shopped here and said the same. Not trying to hate on anyone trying to chat and have a conversation but I don’t want to be screamed at or hear others talking as loud as they possibly can. Let alone having a WORKER irritated for doing their job.

Apple valley offers great vegan and vegetarian replacement for meat products. They also have a lot of supplements.

I have been a customer for about 5 years now and I am not at all disappointed. They are very helpful when we need to locate an item and are always willing to order any item not available in stock. They also have a table with lots of free reading material and sometimes that includes books. They also offer a discount on certain items for seniors on Wednesdays and help the local animal shelter find loving homes for their pets. They have a great variety of herbal teas and offer different brands that I find reliable in regards to quality control at their plants, such as Nature's Way and Now.
