We don't have a place like this at home! It was nice to sit down and chat with the owner and drink some delicious mead! Definitely worth checking out.

Really wanted to like this place-it was completely empty on the weekend. The owner was personable enough, but the mead was mediocre at best. (and we tried every one on the menu) The space itself has so much potential, I hope they are able to continue to find a way to have a presence in Bangor, however, we probably won't be back.

This place was really interesting. Kinda old fashioned and interesting architecture. The owner told us some fun stories while we tried the 5 for $5 menu! Tasted some great options and bought the Feather. They also have some fun sodas to try and honey sticks!

Apple cider never tasted better. I am particularly fond of the pear. Stop in and throw darts coming soon. In the tradition of the Vikings. Tell them I sent ya.

This was our last stop today as we meandered through some of Michigan's wine country. Veteran owned business! Sampled some meads, met the owner and had some good conversation, and then did a little axe throwing (a first for us). Great place to stop and Dave (the owner) is a great axe throwing instructor. Took a couple of bottles of mead home for later this Fall. Glad we stopped and we will be back.

Back in 2019, I was searching for a traditional mead as a gift to my bride's father. Since he is a Norwegian-American, I wanted to honor an old tradition of getting the father-in-law drunk for the honeymoon. However, it can be very hard to find a traditional non-flavored mead these days, let a lone a good one. After visiting the Great Mead Hall and tasting their mead, I knew right away that their mead was exactly what I was looking for. I bought a 12-pack crate of their traditional mead (Odrerir), and my father-in-law loved it!I'll add that their flavored meads are also fantastic. I tried several during my visit, and I plan to buy some on my next trip to Bangor.

My wife and I paid a visit to this fine establishment during our honeymoon. We figured if we are going to have a honeymoon, we were going to do it right by getting some mead to keep with Viking tradition. The owner was a very kind and informative man who gave us the basic rundown of each variety that he himself made while also chatting with us on a variety of other topics. The mead itself is absolutely divine. Depending on your personal preference, there is a flavour there that will please your pallette. I personally recommend Old Scrumpy. They also have axe throwing, a player piano, and various games available. Would highly recommend checking this place out if you get the chance.
