Ordered siding and trim, took 15 minutes to order canyon brown siding with coffee bean corners and J-channel. Worker took notes of the order and said he was slow on the computer so we gave him an hour to put the order together. Paid and waited, order came in and was at the store 3 days before picked up. The tag stated both colors were in the order but everything was the same color, it was not checked, my brother picked up the order and didn't notice either, I noticed as soon as I pulled in the driveway. Waited for them to open and brought in a piece of j channel to show them the mistake, they admitted the man that ordered screwed up. Material was reordered. Came back the day it was supposed arrive and called to see if it arrived . Was given the run around that the guy was on lunch and I would get a call back. No call. Went there in person to find out they ordered the wrong color again and is still over a week out. Asked where it was coming from to find out it was about 6hrs away but I was not allowed to pick it up. Was trying to finish a project before Dad's 80th birthday party but the fine staff of Mortimer lumber in bad axe would not allow that due to their incompetence. No empathy or even tries of making this right were even attempted. Long story short this store sucks!!!!

Double the price of the box stores on same items, and overall pretty rude employees. Won't be back!

Went in the store today to get a price on doors, I need a total of 15 of them because I’m remodeling an old farm house. Asked for a quote to use local store instead of big box stores. Was greeted by an arrogant condescending assistant manager. I’ve already spent thousands of dollars in the store but after dealing with the assistant manager I’ll be definitely ordering from the big box stores from now on, if I wanted to know what you would do I would of asked, have a good day don’t waste your time talking to a manager they aren’t professional and they are arrogant and condescending.

Best service I have ever experienced. Very knowledgeable staff with reasonable suggestions for all the issues I asked about. I am getting a kitchen, bathrooms and siding redone. I have been looking a long time, a lot of places and I really like the people, and their ideas at Mortimer the best. Their products are very good, which is important to me. They do not push the most expensive products, as many stores do. They do recommend, and carry, good quality products and will explain the positives and negatives, if any, of each. Helps with making choices.

I love to salvage old furniture. I decided to salvage my 30 year old Gasho table and chairs that have suffered through a lot of use with kids and grandkids. I was looking for a stain and sealer for the top portion and leaves. I decided to try Mortimer for a Matt polycrylic sealer that I was not able to find anywhere else. That have the nicest lady there who went way out of her way to help me get what I really wanted. She called the manufacturer to get the formula I wanted. Then besides just mixing the paint she went and got to molding samples of different types of wood to try the stain out on. Then she recommended using a wood conditioner to keep the stain from grabbing to much color. It's been so long since I have gotten service like this. I highly recommend Mortimer for any painting needs. I will post a picture when it is finished. Thank you sweet lady!

Great service, good selection of building materials. Not competitive with on line pricing but try to get it delivered to the thumb of Michigan. Found what I needed and great custom cutting services. Heart almost failed at the current cost of lumber.

Unimpressed with the service. Product was fine, but I had to explain that I simply needed to buy and get a piece of wood cut far too many times to too many different people. At a lumber store. The drive thru is handy though; I'll give it that.
