We purchased a custom 60 inch firepit from this company that was thousands of dollars. After only 1.5 years, it is rusting and chipping all over the sides. I am not able to attach a photo. We take very good care of the firepit and clean and cover it daily. Upon contacting customer service support we were first hung up on, and after emailing, we were told that they won’t help us since the fire pit was out of the 1 year warranty. I was given a recommendation on cleaning and paint. Disgraceful customer service. Obviously they don’t stand by their products. I have never written a review, but DONT BUY from this company.

I will start out by saying every company should have a employee like Tom Pierce. He went over and above trying to straighten out an order I had placed with another salesman for a firepit. The firepit arrived twice the size I ordered and when I called that same salesman back he never returned my calls. I was so frustrated and ready to give up on this Company and decided to make one more call. That was the luckiest call ever when Tom Pierce answered he went out of his way to have the firepit I received picked up and found one even better. He followed up daily until I received just the right one. I am now sitting by my new firepit happy as ever. Thank You Tom Pierce you made a awful experience wonderful. Yvonne Marshall

So far so good! We got a rectangular fireplace and two heaters. They have an extensive selection and ship super fast. Danny was a great help today and we got the right vent bits to install everything. He is kind and patient.

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Don’t use them for anything. Waiting five months (ordered 9/12/22) for them to get the product here and installed was promised 4 to 6 weeks. It’s now February 1st and still waiting.

So initially things got off to a great start. The employee helping me was knowledgeable and nice. He pointed me in the right direction for the size of the firebox. After that there were some bumps along the way but instead of burying their heads in the sand and hope I go away. Lance at Woodland Direct went above and beyond my expectations and put his money where his mouth is, so to speak. Too many companies these days don't care about the actual people they are serving and it is reflected in how they treat a customer when things don't go the right way. Not Woodland Direct! There issue became my problem when I was not on track to have it finished before Xmas. Now the fact that there was an issue really isn't that big of a deal in the scheme of things. Things happen. What I found far more instructional was what they did about it after the issue came up. They really shined. Especially Lance. He took the time to call me and email me just so he could hear what I had to say. It's a little thing but a big deal to me. Not only did he reach out but in several different manners but he also tried several times in different manners. That is the true measure of a business. Enough about WD I want to talk about the product. Now the kit is pretty easy use. They have everything sorted out for the customer in the boxes which makes find the part you need pretty easy. The gas log set looked pretty good. I would attribute that to Woodland Direct. When I called I wasn't sure what to get but their salesperson told me what data he needed to help choose the right one, and he was right. The install a snap! Now the remotes come from a third party in a foreign country are a little bit harder as the instructions written in english by someone who obviously is not a native speaker.But as long as you pay close attention to the pictures you should have no problem. Thanks again Lance and Woodland Direct. I signed up as an affiliate. Closing, Great product, great people. Good buy.

Nothing but problems and delayed responses from customer support. We purchased a 36" Direct Vent Fireplace - got it installed...then problems started to appear.. 1. We ordered a 8 piece log set .. and they sent a 6 piece log set and the main log set was broken. I have tried working with the warranty department ..of which they sent the logs ..but was always broken upon receipt. I had to keep asking them to send new logs .. and only after the 4th attempt .. were they able to not only send the right logs ..but they came in tact (unbroken). 2. As part of the log set, it should have included Ember rocks which glow under the rocks... even after then sending the logs 4 times .. not once did they include the ember rock kit that should have gone with the order. They kept sending the soft embers which was NOT on my order. 3. Once we had the fireplace started .. it was starving for oxygen. We had the installer check the fireplace and had no blockages with venting. Apparently the fireplace needed a different outside vent which was never mentioned when we first bought the fireplace - and now even during a cold winter blast .. we have the fireplace installed .. but unable to turn it on because we are waiting on WoodLand Direct to get back to us. Horrible Experience!!

EVART IS LITERALLY AMMMMMAAAAAZING!!!!! I was extremely lost searching for the right fireplace insert for the right price and esthetic and Evart went way out of his way to make sure I/we found exactly what I was looking for. If I had a company I would be looking to hire Evart because you can't find employees that go out of their way like he did for me and my husband. He's still helping us with a design issue on my part!!! Like c'mon, how cool is that!!!? Evart rocks, give him a raise and keep him as an employee for life!!

Dealing with Woodland Direct was a gas! Recently we purchased 2 vented gas log sets from Woodland Direct. I had researched about a dozen local and online companies and decided upon Woodland after speaking with a representative over the phone. \"Seth\" was extremely helpful about design, installation and maintenance considerations. Additionally, he was very responsive by phone and email. The entire process took less than a week to order, accept delivery and install 2 beautiful Peterson log sets. Great experience!

I needed to install double walled stovepipe on a new wood stove and had a question about which adapter piece I would need. I called Woodland's tech number and their tech not only had the answer, he completely redesigned the pipe from stove to wall, saving me a bunch of money and made a better, stronger installation. Parts were shipped the next day. When I had a follow up question installing it they put me back with the same tech who again gave excellent service. These guys are a class act.

We used to purchase firepits from Woodland Direct, monthly, sometimes more frequently. Over the past 12 months, our dedicated sales Rep has been missing or just ignores our inquiries for any product support, warranty etc. Most recently, after purchasing and PAYING for several heaters more than 10 months ago, they finally notified us they are no longer available. We had to call them all along, no follow up, no communication product has been discontinued. Would have been really nice to know this early on.
