The lady the works day shift is completely rude and unprofessional to say the least! My family an I recently went through a bad living situation, I checked in here at the Auburn hills red roof inn.
On Wednesday 7/10/24, I made us a reservation for a studio room with a check in date of 7/13/24. As I arrived to the property I received an email of my reservation being cancelled. The lady inside working the front desk needs to be fired immediately. She told me that she canceled it due to me having a dog and a cat but the hotel is pet friendly?? I was forced to leave the property with my children and my belongings sitting in the parking lotas I only have one small vehicle to move my stuff. This lady had my children and wife crying because she became so hostile towards She would not return my deposit which was a $50 cc payment and other half was $50 cash. I work real hard for the money I make and it's bad enough my checks are only so much! This location may be great for single people or business traveler's, but I would not recommend anyone to stay here if you you plan to stay for more than a week! She will tell you that they are all booked up and have no more vacancy but keep your deposit an have you vacated ! She has a very good side hustle stealing money from people! My room was not trashed or anything as we were there 6 night's. Someone needs to make this right and return my deposit.

This place doesn't care anything about their customers. What they do is allow staff employees to run scams on customers offering them fake deals and discounts on rooms. I believe that the Regional Manager and Hotel Manager are both in on the scams because when brought to their attention what is going on, they laugh about it and act as if the money that customers are losing out on believing these scams is a joke and they are not taking it serious. The con artists running these scams are calling the customers rooms and offering these deals. The scammers have the customer's name and all of their information proving that it is an inside job. This type of behavior is unacceptable and fraud is never ok. Since Red Roof Inn of Auburn Hills seems to not be taking this serious, all I can do is warn unsuspecting customers of the suspicious activity going on at this place. My money is valuable and deserves to be spent somewhere where customers are valued and appreciated. My family and I came to this hotel hoping to have an enjoyable stay and be safe, but instead it turned into a complete nightmare and money lost that the hotel feels like shouldn't be recovered, even though my personal information was entrusted in their care. Clearly, that wasn't the best thing since the Red Roof Inn allowed my information to be exposed.
The hotel placed the blame on me for what happened, instead of owning the " hotel deal scam". My hotel stay was booked in person, which lets me know for sure that someone who works there is giving out customers' information, selling customers information or doing something illegal. The hotel is trying to tell me it was someone that I knew scamming me, however, NO ONE knew where I was. All they can do is laugh and say, it was only $100, it's not like it was $500. REALLY????? Any amount of money lost to fraud and scams in NOT OK!!!!!
Run as fast as you can and don't look back!!!!!!! The Red Roof Inn doesn't care about customers, they only care about the money that they can make, never mind the front desk staff and rest of the employees running hotel discount scams on their customers. Go to the Hilton or the Marriott or even Sonesta, just don't stop here. Pass go and don't stop!!!!!!!!

Please take heed don’t stay at this hotel. I’m a single parent & got scammed out of over $100.00. Someone working inside the hotel is giving out customer’s account information & then offering customer’s hotel deals as part of a scam operation. There is no hotel deals it’s all a big scam . The unknown employee offering the deals called my room to offer the fake package deal. My family & I were so disappointed & devasted by this unforeseen turn of events. The Manager Nick apologized but did nothing else to compensate my family & I. My vacation was ruined by these con artists.

Upon arrival to the hotel and checking in we were given the key card to room 116. Once I opened the door I noticed a wet towel hanging on the chair and the bed in complete disarray and trash on the floor. I immediately shut the door thinking someone was still occupying the room. I went to the front desk to report what I seen and politely requested a new room. He did not day a word, just looked at me blankly and walked around to where I was and walked past me. I then asked him did he want to go see the room for himself. He still said nothing. Once he saw my boyfriend standing outside the room he quickly went into room 116 and shut the door behind him. We stood there looking confused. After a few minutes he came back out on the phone and walked past us. I asked him was he changing our room and he said yeah. Once returning to the front desk he said not a word. Didn't apologize for the inconvenience or anything. Would never stay here again. The room we ended up staying in was okay, but I would NEVER stay here again because the customer service was exponentially subpar.

Staff were all friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Pretty great people.
-Repairs are needed, but tolerable for the price
-Clean room, comfortable except the pillows
-outdoor pool, but some of the furniture is overdue for replacement
-regardless of it being a non smoking property every day the hallways were so heavy with weed smell it would waft into the room
-elevator button got stuck multiple times making its use frustrating
Walkability: Its location is just amongst other hotels and unrelated businesses. Not walkable at all.

This place is in an industrial park, very quiet, and you'll have to use your GPS to get there. Has free wireless, directtv, no bugs, a comfortable bed, a refrigerator, and a microwave. I was just up there to see my grandchildren, and I needed a handicapped room. There was a horrid man who checked me in screaming at me, but I reported him and hope he will not be there if I return.

Location: Located inside of an industrial park nothing close enough to walk to unless u don't drive.
Service: READ all the great reviews about Nick only to encounter Big Bird who is very condescending and explains things to where u feel more confused either way Big Bird shouldn't be in the hospitality industry at all but this what happens when u hire ex-crackheads.
Rooms: Took a look from the outside the single bed Rooms are extremely small the double bed rooms aren't even Queen size beds the rate is cheap I get it but when the deposit is $30 more than the rate you gotta wonder why. They also have permanent residents living there either Section 8 or weekly homeless ppl.

I’ve been treated absolutely awful here by staff, except for with nick he was the only one that gave me any human empathy. After losing my house I needed a place to stay temporarily with my kids and almost paying 2 thousand dollars I was told that I needed to leave after one night because of occupancy issues when I had paid and extra $500 the night I arrived for that specific issue. The manager has an awful attitude and is just plain smart/rude.
