There's a new sheriff in town (at Wellmans) and his name is Roger Byrne. Not only is he knowledgeable about fishing, tackle and fresh cut meats he's very friendly and accommodating. If you are coming into town and looking for an update on where to catch fish, what lures or bait to use...make sure you stop here. His staff is super friendly and eager to help. By the way, it's not just a bait shop.....they have fantastic cuts of meat if you're looking for a steak, fillet, ribeye or all types of fresh & smoked fish.

I love shopping here for pretty annuals to plant in my window boxes and patio pots and for hanging baskets every year! The friendly greenhouse owner, Karla, is so helpful, and she carries a wonderful variety of floral choices plus some unique planters and garden decor at reasonable prices.

Stopped in here and picked up some smoked fish and fish sausage. It was one of the highlights of Oscoda. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Its a nice and clean place with a good selection of fishing tackle and live bait. The fish is awesome, especially the whitefish sausage, it doesn't even taste like fish. You can see why they get such great reviews!
