I did a grouse and woodcock hunt with Adam and Jessie. They were great. They let my dog hunt and when he had enough, theirs took over. They put us on birds and taught me a lot about this type of hunt. This was my first time on this type of bird and terrain. It's not easy. It's not easy terrain and it's not easy shooting. I'm glad I had these guys with me. They are super intelligent and interesting dudes, too. Take some time to ask about them as well. Their dogs were great. I'm actually thinking about one of Jessie's GSPs. All around great experience. I can't wait to come back.

I did a guided grouse hunt with Jessie and the pro hunters MJ and Chase on Sunday. It was early season, the birds were grouped-up as expected. and the green leaves were on the trees. I will be back in a few weeks when the ferns are down and 50% of the leaves are on the ground !MJ and Chase are true hunting dogs and put on a show for my 14 month old yellow lab. By the end of the day she was part of the pack ! I hunted and she gained a lot of field experience.I would highly recommend this hunt. IT is the real deal !

These guys do what it takes to make for a great experience. I took my 2 yo pup out for a quick 3 bird tune up, and she didn't find a single bird on the first pass, going around the field and then up and down. She was a little rusty and more interested in playing than working. Jesse was on the spot with two more chukkars to prime the pump, once my dog was on those chukkars, we located and downed the pheasants that Jesse had planted earlier. This was my third hunt with Bourbon Creek, and we will most certainly be back. Great property and even better guides.
