I left my car at a friend's up in the tip of Leelanau and he drove down. We played a round in 40 mph winds and it was spectacular. Unfortunately, I left the keyfob for my car in the golf cart and realized that once we were 1h30m into our drive back. I called the course and asked if they had found it. They called me back an hour later that they found it and 30m later I just received an email of the UPS shipping notification that they have already scheduled it for mailing and it will arrive by EOD tomorrow.
They refused to allow me to pay, even for their shipping costs. Classy team at this place.
EDIT: The package arrived on Halloween and it was my keyfob packed within an
outer package of Halloween candy. This was touching. I wish I could give them more stars.

⛳ Arcadia Bluffs - The Bluffs Course, Arcadia, MI: ?????
Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Arcadia Bluffs - The Bluffs Course, one of Michigan’s most iconic and highly-rated golf courses. Established in 1999, this renowned links-style course is perched along the shores of Lake Michigan, offering stunning views and a world-class golfing experience. The Bluffs Course has earned its reputation as one of the top public courses in the country, thanks to its challenging layout, meticulous maintenance, and panoramic views.
COURSE QUALITY?: The Bluffs Course is known for its challenging layout, with deep bunkers, tall fescue, undulating greens, and constant winds off Lake Michigan. Every hole offers a unique test, demanding precise shot-making and strategic play. Our group of two foursomes found it tough but thoroughly enjoyable, especially in the crisp fall morning. The course’s beauty, with Lake Michigan as a backdrop, makes each hole a memorable one. The fairways are well-maintained, and the greens roll fast and true, ensuring a premium golf experience.
SERVICE & HOSPITALITY?: The staff at Arcadia Bluffs is exceptional, providing attentive and friendly service from start to finish. Despite being a bit rushed for breakfast, the staff went out of their way to accommodate our group and ensure we were prepared for our early tee time. Their warm hospitality added to the overall positive experience of staying and playing at this premier golf destination.
AMENITIES?: Arcadia Bluffs offers top-notch amenities, from its impressive clubhouse to its luxurious accommodations. The pro shop is well-stocked with high-quality golf gear and apparel, and the practice facilities are excellent, including a driving range and putting green to fine-tune your game before hitting the course. The lodge, where we stayed, offers a comfortable and convenient overnight option, complete with stunning views of the course and lake. While it can be a bit pricey, the quality and convenience justify the cost.
PACE of PLAY?: Even with the challenging design, the pace of play at The Bluffs Course was well-managed. Our group, despite the occasional tough shot and time spent in the deep bunkers or fescue, managed to complete the round in good time. The course layout allows for steady play, even on busy days, making it enjoyable for all golfers.
LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY?: Located along the stunning shoreline of Lake Michigan, Arcadia Bluffs is a destination course that’s worth the trip. The scenic drive adds to the anticipation, and once there, the views are unmatched. The course is easily accessible from the lodge, making it convenient for those staying overnight.
In summary, Arcadia Bluffs - The Bluffs Course delivers an unforgettable golfing experience with its challenging design, exceptional service, and unbeatable scenery. Golf was incredible. Course is breathtakingly beautiful. Greens were almost unfair fast with a late windy day T time. My only complaint is that we had a 2:50 T time, and because of slow play, we couldn’t finish our last 3 holes because it got dark. 2 guys that played with us said they T off the day before at 9:20 am and didn’t finish until 3:00. Thats ridiculous. We stayed overnight on site. Rooms were like new, roomy with great views.
The restaurant was a little bit of a let down. They try to cater to the rich & famous on the menu, but the bar is 10’ away in the same room, college kids with hats backwards loud as hell setting next to you. The menu had nothing practical on it , so if you’re looking for a burger or mainstream food. You’re out of luck. I wanted salmon but not with maple sauce on it, I ordered the Berkshire pork chop but the Maple glaze was more like pancake syrup. Ate 2 bites and had a salad. My wife ordered a grilled chicken salad. Chicken was bone dry, cold with no seasoning at all. Not a good dinner. I would def stay & play but go out to eat.

My husband and I stayed and played both courses to celebrate our anniversary. Of course the golf was incredible and every bit as challenging as I anticipated. But what I wasn't expecting was the high caliber of service throughout our entire stay. From the front desk attendant to the first hole ranger, I was so impressed. I could not have asked for better!
Special thanks to Lisa, who took care of us at dinner, as well as Chef Deanna who prepared the best rack of lamb my husband had ever had. You made our experience that much more enjoyable! Thank you again!

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful this course is. Breathtaking. Views on every hole. Lightning fast greens and fairways. Coolest course I have ever played. Staff was nice. And their rooms are great also. If there was a complaint, it was that the pace of play can be slow. Too many bad golfers hitting from the wrong tees. But they did marshall the course well. Gawking at the views can slow you down also. Wow.

My complaint is more about how I was treated after I applied here to work in house keeping. I applied on indeed and a woman by the name of stefanie reached out to me to get some more information. So I called a woman by the name Taylor answered and told me just a minute and slammed the phone down from how it sounded and hung up on me, I called back, Taylor answered again, and hung up on me, then I called back a 3rd time because that is when I realized it wasn’t a mistake, she was doing it on purpose, she answered the 3rd time and said there is nobody here that I can talk to about my application and before I could say anything else. She hung up on me. I messaged stefanie with my concerns and she never got back to me. I don’t know Taylor’s last name, I don’t know her all I know is it was VERY un professional on both of their parts.

Started out our girls day with cocktails overlooking Lake Michigan on a cold, cloudy day. The cocktails were great, bartender was fast -we joked he could be a mixologist. We had a wonderful view of Lake Michigan and the golf course from several locations.

This review speaks to the lodging and customer service I received at Arcadia Bluffs. I booked a stay for 1 night at the lodge and planned to play both the courses on the property. Unfortunately, I instead spent the entire day at newark airport do to various delays with the plane, pilots etc. This caused me to have to cancel the t times and alter my schedule. Arcadia told me I will still be charged the $500 room rate as is their policy you have to cancel 14 days in advance. I simply left a message for a manager to return my call as I would like a credit to re-book the trip for the following month not a refund. Mind you Forest Dunes, Boyne Bay Harbor, the other 2 hotels I had booked for this trip, the rental car, and the airline all with similar cancelation policies FULLY refunded me. ONLY Arcadia charged me. Im a reasonable person and travel frequently on annual golf trips. I simply wanted a credit, to re-book the trip and was ignored. After leaving 3 messages over 3 weeks the manager didn't even have the courtesy to return my call. I was told by reception its bad business for them to refund/credit guests. My response, so why you keep my $500 you lost out on a large group of guys coming out there another time looking to stay there and spend money at the restaurants and golf courses. Not even the courtesy to return a phone call is inexcusable customer service. Having played at Kiawah, Hilton Head, Pinehurst, and other golf destinations I found my experience dealing with Arcadia to be second rate at best. My advice to anyone planning a trip there - book a hotel in town save yourself any future headaches.

Awesome course, great staff and wonderful layout. However if you are planning trip make sure to check and see if there is a ryder cup events happening. Pace of play was horrible and the pro shop clearly didn't care that the event was jamming up the entire course....

The staff at Arcadia Bluffs are the best ever. We came up for the 4th Of July (Cherry festival in Travers City) and played 3 rounds and wished we would've had more time. My sons have played St Andrews among countless other beautiful courses and said this is one of their favorite courses. Having the bag pipes in the evenings before sunset and being able to hear them for a good part of play was just amazing. I love Arcadia Bluffs and I'm looking forward to my next visit. Paul

First timer and my last. The views are awesome, but its just a golf course. I did like the track, but for me there's a lot of walking and a lot of up and down. All I can say is take it all in, have fun and have good golf shoes.
