The other night I was stranded in a Kohl's parking lot with a dead battery, frantically trying to get a tow truck to anywhere to get a new battery put in my car. It was close to closing time, and the folks at Ed's Oil Shoppe came to my rescue. Thanks to them, I got home safely and now have a fully reliable car again. They went out of their way to help me, and I am so thankful. Thanks again to Ian, Carl, and the other guy (sorry, he had no name tag). Will be going back for all my car needs

George was so wonderful !!He was pleasant to me, informative, kind, helpful. AND he genuinely cares about his employees! He spoke to them with the same attitude he used with me as the customer. He was available and willing to teach them. Superb experience!

Last summer, approx 2 weeks after receiving an oil change at Uncle Ed's, I was on the highway when the Oil Pan Drain Plug fell out and oil spewed all over the highway and the underbody of my car/ splash shield. I pulled over immediately and had the car towed to my local dealership, as I wasn't sure what was happening. They found the oil plug "sitting on top of the splash shield." I was charged $235 for the assessment and repair by the dealer. After getting it back, I drove it to Uncle Eds and spoke to the manager George, who accepted responsibility and promised to reimburse me for the repair fee, the oil change cost (~$110) and clean or replace my splash shield. I left the splash shield and picked it up a week later after they had cleaned it. George (who has always been friendly and seemingly helpful) says he had submitted it to the powers that be and it was out of his hands. After several follow ups, I never received payment or a response from someone named Sebastian who is apparently in charge. Until last year, I was an Uncle Georges customer for at least 10 years. I am incredibly disappointed.

Stadium location has the best service staff! Not knowing all of the names, but Bernard is very kind; gave my dogs treats while I waited. The red-haired lady tech was super nice and informative and, the tech with the NE’stern accent did a wonderful job, too! Awesome. Repeat client.

I’ll never go anywhere else to get my oil changed/car checked out, so friendly, so helpful- I’m not comfortable with car knowledge & the folks here always make me feel taken care of. John is quick & correct, I love it here. I can’t remember the name of the man who helped me out w/ logistics, but incredibly friendly folk here.

I came here once for an oil change. It took them over an hour to do what I could have done in 15 minutes. They also told me I had to bring my own oil…… which I was running late so I went and got oil and came back. To which then nobody talked to me for 10 mins after I got in. Then they basically kept me hostage for the next hour as they took the filter out then disappeared for a half an hour. I cannot recommend this place in good conscience.

Absolute Incompetence.Uncle Ed's Oil Shoppe completely destroyed my car. Hours after getting my oil changed at the West Stadium location, my car no longer functioned. My mechanic was quickly able to diagnose a myriad of issues that came as a direct result of Uncle Ed's malpractice. This was only the beginning of the nightmare. The next two weeks were spent calling Uncle Ed's incessantly (at least 10 times a day), they did not answer a single call. My mechanic and myself went in person to Uncle Ed's to ask them to come look at the damages they caused and cover the payments. Somehow, that didn't work either - nobody from the shop ever returned a call or showed an ounce of interest in making things right. I was finally able to get in contact with someone from their corporate office at which point they continued to drag their feet until finally they covered the repairs. Easily one of the worst experiences I have had with any business in my entire life.

The broke a piece on my car while checking the air filter. I would have rather them not check the air filter if theyre going to break things. I went for an oil change and understand the other services they offer. Instead of forcing plastic they could have explained the situation and took the higher road explaining to me they did not feel comfortable checking the air filter because the part might break. When speaking to the manager he said he has to call around to junk yards and find a used piece. When something breaks on my car I replace it with new OEM parts. I expect the same from them as well.

How do you run on one employee? You get someone named Colin, who is the Manager, Service Tech, and guy who fixed everything right. Colin was awesome and worth the wait!

Very happy with my oil change today. Service was quick. Lights were all checked. Tires were filled. So no high pressure sale. I will be back when it is time for my next oil change.

Jorge (George) went the extra mile for me today as he replaced the cabin filter on my Kia Soul. I'm always happy with the work done by this Uncle Ed's. I trust them. I've been going to this service for over 25 years!

It was time for an oil change. Drove by and saw the employees shaking a sign, decided to pull in. All of the staff at this location is super friendly, helpful, and made suggestions for future maintenance. Would highly recommend for oil changes, bulb replacements, wiper blades, air filters, fuel system cleanings, and batteries.Services: Carburetor cleaning

I’m surprised at all the 5 star Reviews on here. The last 2 times I have had my oil changed here, something immediately went wrong with my vehicle. The most recent issue was that my car (after running perfectly smoothly before going here) began to vibrate as I accelerated immediately after getting an oil change here.I took it to an auto shop and they told me there was a missing piece. That my car was running on 3 cylinders when it’s a 4 cylinder vehicle. Seems like somebody forgot to put some parts back in at Uncle Ed’s.Also, when I pulled in to get my oil changed they had to check to see if they had the correct part to change the oil on my vehicle. They had the part which I was happy about. But, the man who was going to be changing my oil expressed that he wished the staff had not found my part because he was tired and wanted to stop working for the day. I found it very strange that he would say that in front of a customer and it was only 1:30 in the afternoon. Just an example of how very few people anymore are willing to put in a full day of work.Sure, the staff may be friendly, but that just doesn’t cut it when I need my vehicle to work properly and all the parts be replaced correctly.I will never trust my vehicle to them again. Lesson learned.
