Banded my dog’s mouth shut. Unacceptable animal cruelty.We have 2 small dogs. My otherwise extremely affectionate 16lb dog developed a nipping problem when someone put their hand toward his face.I came in to Groom Room early one day—and his mouth was completely closed shut with a band.NOT a muzzle or leader.It was so tight his snout fur was popping out the sides of it—and he could not open his mouth.That is dangerous—especially if a dog is in distress and needs to pant.Absolutely disgusting treatment.EVERY time we picked him up we asked about his behavior.We would have tried anti-anxiety medication, I would have been ok with a humane muzzle, etc.We cared about the groomer’s comfort.But NOT ONCE were we informed that he needed some kind of face covering.He initially only nipped once in awhile.But it started getting worse. And it was way more common with women. Wonder why??The owner of the new shop we go to showed me the different types of muzzles they use, if needed.The girl on her staff who does him didn’t do his face the first time so he could get used to her. Since then, his face has never been cuter.I guess if the person grooming him it isn’t traumatizing him he’s comfortable enough to get it trimmed.I am appalled at Groom Room’s dishonesty. They abused one dog to keep the business of 2.

I have been coming to the Groom Room since the fall of 2017. Candace and Sara are excellent groomers and consistent with the cuts, I have zero complaints. I have a Havanese (Piper) and a Maltipoo (Dante). Dante is a rescue I adopted in 08/2020. He was scared of everything and everyone and would nip at you if you tried to touch him. I was just sure he would be difficult to handle. Sara has been his groomer from the start and somehow she mangaged to break through with him right away. I also like that the dogs are able to roam inside freely. They both come home tired and ready to nap. Their price is also very reasonable.It is very apparent Sara and Candace are very skilled at what they do and love the animals. What more could I ask for.

Fabulous people that work hard and do a great job. The vibe in the place is great and they truly love the animals. They call the dogs by name which is sweet and they really do a great job!

Amazing grooming, especially for doodles!! They know how to achieve the cute doodle look (never poodling them). Both my dogs go here for standing appointments every 8 weeks. The groom room is the best!

Sarah is a dog whisperer. It’s been 10 yrs and every time I tell Luna she is going to see Sarah, she gets so excited, she can barely contain herself. Sarah is the alpha and is able to manage our stubborn little Peke-a-Poo beautifully, giving her an adorable cut every time. Dropping off and picking up Is so fun because we get to see all the happy dogs. Highly recommend. ?❤️

Been taking our randy little girl there for 10 years and look forward to every trip. Not only because our dog loves Sarah the owner, but also because her work is outstanding. Highly recommended even though positive reviews like this will likely make scheduling more difficult.

Sara at The Groom Room does a wonderful job with our dog hAiry. She is very caring, careful and concerned about the personalities and needs of each individual pet. We wouldn't want to take our little baby anywhere else! Thank you Sara and all your dedicated staff!

Sara has been grooming Hairy for a year now. She just groomed Hairy and did such an excellent. This may be the best grooming of Hairy yet. Sara takes time to understand the dog to give the dog the most stress free experience possible. She also has a great set up allowing the dogs to socialize-again, to give them a low stress experience. When I dropped Hairy off today, he was so excited to go inside. Thank you Sara for taking excellent care of Hairy.

I've used the Groom Room for my goldendoodle twice now, and been very happy with the results both times. They give me exactly what I ask (short but not shaved, and don't "poodle" my doodle!), which is crucial for me. Also, as an added plus, my dog comes home tired and happy, because they let the dogs roam around and play all day! I'm very appreciative of the hard work that the groomers do. Thank you, Groom Room!

This place is FANTASTIC! After my malamute had a very negative experience at a different grooming establishment, where they blamed the dog, I was worried I would have a hard time ever getting her professionally groomed again. I had The Groom Room recommended to me by a newfoundland owner, and told me they're great with large breed dogs. I called The Groom Room, explained our situation, and they agreed to take my dog on. Apparently, my dog was an angel! :) They're very patient with her, and I've always been thrilled with the results. Thank you!
