They pay well for the things they take. I have really liked this location. They have a huge inventory also which is super nice.

Always act put out when you bring clothes in to sell. Clothes were in a bin flat and clean but not in the right sized bin so had empty my bins into their bins. But don’t over fill them they will yell at you for that too! Don’t even think about sitting in your car as they go through your things, you will get put to the back of the line. So you have to stay in the store as they go through your bins even if you don’t plan on shopping, maybe you should add a waiting room then, so I don’t have to stand while I wait. Make it extremely unpleasant to sell to them which is weird because isn’t this your business model? Just sell on Facebook and don’t waste your time

I rarely take the time to review, but in this instance I feel compelled to warn prospective sellers. If you have pricier items, I strongly suggest not selling to this store. You will receive only a tiny fraction of the resale price of your items. I had all of my 4 daughters' Easter and Christmas dresses to sell, almost all of which were from Von Maur. The store accepted 44 of my items, about 35 of which were the dresses, Another item was a 3x5 Thomas the Tank Engine play mat, and the rest were shirts, some of which still had the tags on. They offered me $57. Only a little more than $1 per dress, or brand new item with tags still on. They will sell these dresses for $10-15 or maybe more. I regret the decision to sell to this store. I would have made more money had I sold even a few of these dresses on FB marketplace or some other venue.

Over priced stuff, along with they say they hire at 14 but they don't even after you go thru their long process of interveiw wasting your time. It's a 2 hour interview and they give you nothing in return, just sad what they do, dishonest bottom line... I thought it was a children's place so they should give 14 year Olds a chance and the time to train them with respect, along with the chance with more time to learn it's their first year of trying to working they crushed it. Screw this once upon a child and the workers and the management they are not professional what's so ever. Would of gave a 0 star but no option for that.

Nope, has gone downhill. Used to be a pleasant place, they still have a good variety. ? I took 2 bins folded and they only checked one bin and ig half because when I went home all the clothes on half the bottom was folded EXACTLY HOW I HAD IT IN THE ORDER I HAD IT lol. I recommend selling your items at just between friends you get 60-70 percent of what you set your price. Still a good place to shop though some items are a little high for it being second hand.

I would give zero stars if I could. You're better off going to the location in Monroe. The employees are lazy here, wouldn't unlock the bathroom and made my son pee his pants in the store, which reeks of toxic purfume. On top of that they refused to accept my fivestars coupons because they were running a promotion that my purchase didn't qualify for. We just walked out. We will never support this business, and recommend you stay away from this location.

Prices are alright. But honestly, take the cash when you sell. 20% more is nothing when your store credits expire... I basically just gave them free clothing to sell for a profit. Honestly if you want used clothing go to facebook market place.

In response to the owners response, I did not try to return anything. The conflicting policies seem intentionally confusing (I did understand them all though). Not sure what they're talking about indefensible. I never said that. One star for many reasons.1. Must register your your phone number or items are undefendable.2. If you apply a discount (which they give you when you register your phone number) items are final sale3. They charge a credit card process fee.4. Even though your sale is linked to your phone number, you must keep your physical receipt.

I used to love coming here and selling my stuff but now all they want is new clothes they don't even look at used clothes all they always get is things with brand new tags not happy at all I will from now on go elsewhere to sell my daughter's clothes. It's sad they purchase brand new from you for $2 and sell for $7 to $10 but it's business. You'll more likely get more for your money by selling it at a yard sell.

definitely not going back to this once upon a child, everything is so overpriced. They had something priced higher than the retail tag that was still on the outfit??!!! how foul. Isn’t once upon a child supposed to be helpful in trying to save money by buying gently used clothes. they don’t care. price gouging, evil i will never come back to this once upon a child specifically other ones are fine. this one is awful

I had a FANTASTIC experience selling here. And buying here. I didn’t expect to go in to buy anything but they were offering 50% off separates 0-18m on Mondays (ummmmm count me in) even on UofM and lions gear! I got a whole outfit (I put it together) with a UofM top and pants for $3.50 COME ON YALL!!!!But more importantly, Ann Arbor did a FANTASTIC job explaining the whole process to me (I called like 6xs) after finding out all were owned separately. I had no idea! I went to novi, canton and Ann Arbor. I will only sell with Ann Arbor moving forward. They weren’t pushy, rude or annoyed with me. They explained how they offer the price at the end and even explained what they’re looking for and what not to bring in. They also allow you to stay while they sort (I had a TON of stuff so it took an hour which was fine for me). I shopped. I talked to them. It was a really great experience. I will not wait 18 months to take my stuff in again but I definitely will be going back when my children grow out of clothing.I also will go back on a Monday and shop while it’s 50% off. I got items with TAGS still attached for $2 it’s unheard of!

A nice store. Much larger than expected and chock a block full of clothes, but that loud manager who had been there for 7 years needs retraining on social manners, and customer service.I’m writing this review to benefit future first time sellers. I called the store as the website suggested it - to make sure I don’t bring in items that are not needed. The phone conversation was great. Completely informative. But lacked one point — Bring your items in a tote or container. In store, my interaction with the first staffer was smooth enough. I voiced disappointment at hearing that my bags would not be accepted. Then the “manager” steps in. She says that I would have been told and she heard every conversation and she says that the info about the tote was told. No. It was not. I was on the call. Not you. If I had been told of needing to bring in a tote — I would have brought one.In any case, I complied and bought one of the store totes and waited for monetization to complete but the interaction with the manager was so unnecessary and unpleasant. It put a foul and negative spin on everything I saw in the store. I observed that all other staff were friendly and helpful. If anything, that manager made them uncomfortable too. Perhaps she needed her nicotine break before she spoke to me, but whether anyone needs to or not, No customer expects to be yelled at and accused of not complying with systems in place if they were never informed in the first place. There are better ways to behave. Bless your heart.

Only thing they care about is money charging high prices thst you pay stire prices for and more. Cant get new things on discount which is crazy because at every other once ipon a child you can. Their overpriced might as well go to macy, jcpenny, walmart tj max , Marshalls. Not worth it. The clothes without new tags are just so worn and beat up looking. And they want 8 bucks for that. Go to the other stores this overpriced place they can keep their stuff . They probably be out of business in 4 years anywY

I purchased a bicycle from them nine months ago for $90. The bike saw very minimal usage during this time. However, when I decided to sell it back to them, I received only $18 in return. This transaction did not seem fair or reasonable.
