Save yourself time and money and take your car somewhere other than GTM. My son took his car to GTM for repair. They did not give him a written quote as required by Michigan law and then charged him almost twice what they initially quoted for repairs that my son did not authorize. They took two weeks to make the repairs and were hateful and disrespectful to my son when he called to ask for progress updates. Three months later, his car broke down leaving him and his wife and infant daughter stranded on the interstate. They had the car towed to a mechanic who told them the repair had not been done correctly by GTM.

Warning:
This garage will do a bunch of extra work that you did not approve and then charge you for it, take weeks longer than they tell you, do garbage work that you will end up having to re-repair in a couple months and not honor their so-called warrantees. If you bring up these issues with them, they will call YOU a scammer. And on top of all of that, it is impossible to get in contact with them over email text phone, etc. Could not say enough: STAY AWAY from this place.

Edgar is a really good person! My 2015 ford escape need to replace the thermostat and other place charge me $1000!!! Edgar said it actually only need $350! And my car is preface now! He also helped me fill up my coolant and I will visit this place if my car need to be fixed!

Long story **
I took my car in end of February stating I needed a new water pump and timing chain . He quoted me 1500 parts included . Ok cool , my car was at his shop two weeks . He hadn’t so much as looked at my car with his eye (he didn’t believe me when I said the tow truck dropped it off , he was too lazy to look out the door and see my car starting back at him , when he finally looked he seen it was there ) 8 days later it was in the same spot . I picked up my car and started sourcing shops again . No luck as everyone was looking for $2600. -$ 3500 for the fix so against my better judgement I went back to him . He had my car a week before calling saying my head gasket was the problem . Mind you my husband had just came and got my registration out the car the day before and his shop opens at 10am if he just pulled my car in to start work how did you find it was the head gasket in 6 hours ???? I told him I’d pick my car up he said I owed him nothing . I said I would tip for his time . Do you know when I came to get my car he wanted $50 …. He fid absolutely no work on my car at all !! He was trying to gouge the price and then only fix the water and pump and Timing chain that was the problem all along . I wouldn’t take my damn screw driver to this shop . I will be finding out how to report this to the better business bureau and if you are having car issues , look elsewhere as this shop will only add stress to a already stressful time .
Ps I had a experienced street mechanic fix my water pump and timing chain . My car is finally back on the road after 2 long months of ba back and forth with Gtm auto .

Do not go to these snakes..1 they lie about the time frame of having your car done 7 days will turn to 21 days. Reason 2 I brought my car in for a water pump to get done just for him to lie and say it wasn't the water pump he checked it was the head gasket then proceeded to try and charge an 2500 for that replacement on top of the 1400 he was going to charge to "Replace" the water pump saying if I wanted to replace the water pump it would still over heat..but in reality if we would have agreed to just change the water pump he woulda pocketed 1400 for word of mouth no proof of actually fixing anything lucky enough I have great intuition and didn't trust him. I end up taking it to a mechanic I can trust and low n behold it was for sure my water pump; antifreeze pouring out of where the water pump and seal of the pump is located...I'm telling anyone who is reading this do not put your trust in these guys seriously

My entire A/C system had to be replaced, including the serpentine belt, tensioner, compressor, a/c dryer-accumulator, reservoir (orifice tube) among many other parts. I was quoted an amount that was significantly less than the dealer and the repair was completed promptly. This was a whole lot of work for a terrific price with an amazing attitude! I plan to return if my car needs additional work.

Best auto repair shop in Ann Arbor. Edgar and the guys were very quick and efficient with their work. Edgar was always transparent of what needed to be done and how much it would come out to. My old car feels brand new once again after leaving GTM. Highly recommend! They got themselves a new customer!

My sister's car broke down and we were able to bring it into GTM almost immediately. These autoworkers went above and beyond to make sure she was taken care of and gave us a fair price. Truthfully, my family and friends will never go anywhere else.
