Like JoAnn R., I have a similar experience with Foundations Preschool. My child was not even at this school for 4 weeks before they wrote my child off. Before coming to the school I explained to them my situation about my child's previous child care and his communication needs. They ensured me that they would work with my child. While attending the school for 3 weeks, there was a incident report in the mailbox almost everyday and most of them said they didn't see what happened. I only ever talked to the assistant teacher who assured me that they were working with them and hopeful for progress and I almost never really to the actual classroom teacher unless picking him up during or around nap time. I feel as though since my child was not absolutely perfect they found every reason to try to write them off. There was never a prior meeting stating the concern for this "aggressive" behavior that my child supposedly displayed. Also in this 3 weeks my child has had scratches from other children and even a chunk of his hair go missing that they never wrote a incident report on or even addressed until I asked about it. I was also bombarded and just cut loose from attending the preschool with no warning. I'm a single mom, I work and I'm in grad school as well. Their chain of communication absolutely sucks. I was contacted by a teacher that Ive never spoken to before. Before being cut loose abruptly I was told to have a meeting with the social worker and come up with a plan. When contacting the director to go this route she cut straight to the point saying that school wasn't a good fit for my child and also tried to insinuate that I should get my child tested further when I don't think she's even met my child herself. Don't send your kid here if they need extra support. They'll try to paint your child as this terrible kid and even try to put labels on them that they aren't able to give out.

The worst experience! My child was asked to leave because the program director and executive took the word of a worker who never even had a conversation with me the parent. He has a disability and no one ever spoke to me about the issues he was having in school until they singled him out and bombarded me with complaints. And then when I ask my own questions, I'm told I don't know the difference between different ways of identifying needs and setting proper goals for a child to attain. I felt dismissed and not heard and my kid wasn't given a fair chance. It should never get to a point where a parent doesn't see this coming. My kid actually loved going here and they gave up on him because it was difficult to communicate with him. If your kid isn't absolutely perfect, I highly recommend looking else where.

I have been working at Foundations for 5 years and it is one of the best places I have worked! This center truly cares for the staff, families, and children. Healthy meals, a research-based curriculum, cleanliness, welcoming atmosphere, and educated and trained staff are just a few of the perks. They go above and beyond to help the children and families by providing extra support and resources, such as food and clothing donations, extended hours, and care for the whole family. If you’re looking for high quality education for your child come check us out! :)

I love how my children are looking forward to get to school everyday; my youngest, smiles and hugs his caregivers when he gets everyday, I don't think there is something more reassuring of a good time when they don't talk (either walk yet). His little face says it all :) My oldest is in pre-k and has become so helpful in little chores, learning new skills and staff is supporting and communicative every day when we pick him up from school. There has been no day that he wants to miss school.

This facility is exceptional! We have brought our son here for awhile now and he loves going here. The staff is friendly and kind, and they are very accommodating to my family's needs. We are fortunate to have such a great school and daycare for our son to attend!

It is the best working place I’ve been. Diversity, fun, responsibility. All together in a safe place

Not a very good program. My other two children have attended in the past and the program was great. I had some major concerns that I addressed with my child's teachers and was always given excuses. There are better Preschool programs for 4 year olds but unfortunately foundations is not one of them.

I had my son in this program this school year. I would not recommend this preschool. The director is the rudest person I have ever met. The teachers are not that great except for the two foreign teachers that opens in the morning they always speak and make you feel you are leaving your child in good hands. My child's teacher would barely speak to me or my husband when we dropped off. The kids are made to stay on their cots for 2 hours even if they don't sleep. I thought the 4 year old only slept for an hour. We have spoken to the teachers several times about not letting my son sleep so long they don't care that way they do not have to deal with the kids for 2 hours. There are better programs out there. Please do your research my child did not learn anything this year too many behavior problems in the room teachers could not handle the children. Please do not enroll your child here.

This is my 2nd child coming to Foundation's. I like the school well enough for my child because the teachers are good and he seems to like it. The lady in who was in charge with my first child was much better than the lady doing it now. This one is mean and fake when she is nice. There are better schools but this is fine for the low tuition which is the main reason we go here. I can't afford more right now.
