These folks apparently don't know what a "general store" is.This is not a general store. It's like an upscale Pier 1 for Karens. If you'd like to live laugh and love, go ahead and stop in.

Even though it's a very cute shop I find it to be quite overpriced and very poor customer service. So sad. My husband said probably because we're not regular customers and with the attitude here we certainly will not be.

Beautiful gifts and place, but the front attendant was a little too stuffy for us. She had 0 personality, and we didn't appreciate her zero comment during the checking out process. This visit was a one and done for us.And by the way, we were the only ones in line.

Gretchen is a reason to come back to the Dixboro General Store. Not that the wonderful product selection and generally lovely energy of the store wasn’t enough but I really appreciated her conversation, assistance and demeanor. I’ve been into the Dixboro General store a few times in the last month getting gifts for Christmas and have had a wonderful experience each time. I have verbally recommended this place to friends and I’ve also shared amongst guests I’ve taken care of while I was waiting/serving down the road at the Dixboro Project(be it clear; there’s no connection of the two establishments, besides the name of the area they’re in).They change their inventory to my understanding 4 times a year to provide a fun one stop shop to get all of the things you might need to prepare for a new season. Lots of lovely home good items and various items to decorate your space. Love to visit, even though I no longer am working at the restaurant down the road, Rocky and I will still be back to visit the Dixboro General Store and Gretchen!!

Lots of candles, some food/dip mixes, gift items, upscale holiday decor, solid wood furniture. Watch for the sales for better deals on gifts.
