Just find a better bank. Chase's terrible services, fees, close to nothing interest doesn't deserve our $$. When there is issues, they either ignore or refuse to fix. My account was wrongly changed. My private banker at the time called randomly, switched my account, since then I was charged $400+ fees. I filed BBB and CFPB complaints, nothing from them.I AM DONE WITH THIS BANK, I hope you too.

I was just treated horribly at the Westgate branch by a banker who did not identify himself. The tellers have always been nice there. He refused to notarize something for me and refused to tell me why and then practically pushed me out of the office.

I have been to this Chase location 3 or 4 times since Covid began, and the first few were fine, with everyone following safe practices. This past Tuesday, however (Dec. 1), a Chase employee was not wearing a mask, thereby endangering all customers and co-workers. Unfortunately, I did not notice this employee until I had been there about ten minutes and was right in the middle of a transaction with a personal banker. When this banker returned, I mentioned the problem with the employee in the Chase Private Client office (about 20 feet from us), who was not wearing a mask, had his office door open, and was talking on the phone (talking projects airborne droplets and the virus, if present). Fortunately, our banker's return ended our transaction, and we left. I have tried to find a state or city office to report this violation but so far have not found the right place. If it happens again, I will more aggressively confront the offender and call the AA police. Meanwhile, Chase should fire this employee immediately (white guy with a beard who works from the Private Client office at Westgate at least one day a week).

I had been with Chase for more than 10 years, and it has been a while since I am back to this branch. This is literally the rudest branch I had been and the worst interaction I had experienced since I cannot even call it a service. The banker/notary I met is named Chris Bergen who was rude and not helpful. I called ahead to ask for notary service he sounded wishy washy on the phone and asked me to go in person. After I arrived he told me he couldn't provide the service due to it is not business related with Chase. He could have give me a call to save me a trip, instead he asked me to go in person when we talked on the phone. After I explained to him that I had been with chase for so long and switched from one branch to another due to moving, I have business accounts with Chase that he is welcomed to check. He refused to check my accounts, simply refused the service for no reason this time and made a comment about "I don't even know who you are"(while I explained my history with chase, and he declined to check my accounts to understand my relationship). I asked him to provide a written note about the reason why refused the service, and he rejected my request and walked away from his desk. I asked to meet the manager multiple times, and he told me the manager(Emily Dunn) was on the conference call and cannot meet. However after he walked away and left me at his desk, he started talking to the manager who wasn't "available" in her office. She could care less about what was going on because she didn't even ask me any details about the interaction. At this point, I felt terribly mistreated and humiliated. I basically wasted my time for this trip to the bank, so I decided to walk away. Of course this all happened during the coronavirus, I walked in 15 minutes before they were closing, it seemed like Chris Bergen was ready to pack up and leave for home, he was rude and found excuses to refuse a customer. And I would like to say that I had been a happy customer with the branches in Detroit, they had always treated their customers professionally and efficiently. It is a shame that such a small branch gives bad name for a large bank with good service at other locations. I did file a complaint and will follow up on this issue.

This is not only the worse Chase bank I have ever been to, but the worst bank in general! I've seen the general manager, Kevin, yell at a FedEx worker. I've gone to the ATM to draw money, had it taken out of my account, then get a receipt from the ATM saying "unable to dispense money." I'll be going to the one at the corner of Packard and stadium from now on. An extra five minute drive to save myself the headache.

The bankers and the tellers are great at this bank. They go above and beyond and make personal phone calls to assist their customers. I really appreciate their customer service. Special thanks to Mike, Mitchell, and Lisa!!

I have been a Chase customer for over 15 years.. This is the slowest, worst run branch I have ever Visited. It is closer to my home But I would drive miles out of my way not to have to visit it. Brutal every time. Even the drive up is slow. Too bad, this branch gives a great bank a Terrible name.

August 2013 by Mirie H.
We are using Chase for a home loan right now and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. They came recommended by our realtor. We were supposed to close on our house August 23. We found out on August 16 that our loan officer was going on vacation to Florida August 17-25. The person he said would cover our application ended up also being out of the office and didn't return our phone calls. We tried contacting our loan officer's boss--who turned out was also on vacation. I ended up re-explaining everything for an hour to another Chase loan processor in Illinois. Don't ask me what Illinois has to do with Ann Arbor. This Illinois loan officer had some, but not all, the documentation I had emailed to our loan officer. I had to re-send documents, some of which were sent over a month prior. Now, each day there is some other excuse and our closing date keeps getting delayed. We still haven't closed on the house. The moving van is coming tomorrow, and we don't have a place to move into. When we expressed our disappointment with Chase, our loan officer got defensive, saying that he was doing all this work while on vacation, and insinuating that the delays were our fault for requesting a loan in a short time period (the seller of the house demanded it) and not providing explanations for some deposits in our bank account (I had explained that to him three times prior). I'm not denying him a vacation, but he should have arranged better coverage for himself while he was gone! There are many departments in Chase, and none of the other departments is transferring information well to the others. If you want to use Chase for a mortgage, you might have a terrible experience like ours. Just saying.
