Only worth it if you have money to splurge on a gift for someone else - and what they have you can easily find elsewhere for a fraction of the price. Would I buy anything from them again? Nope - mainly because their wares are just too expensive. Basically, you're paying for the name or the fact it's a "handcrafted" item. Pro-tip: they won't tell you you'll be paying extra to use a credit card until the transaction. Be warned.

Visited this neat shop (on a whim) in celebration of my birthday and wife's permission to get myself something interesting. This proved a great old store with exactly the extraordinary collection of things we were hoping to find today, and lucky to stumble into. I ended up with a barn owl wooden puzzle display piece befitting of my particular style and search for quality (and yes, I found the mouse)! My wife celebrated too, in finding herself a unique nesting doll in her color and personality. We also found posh soaps and had a friendly chat with the clerk about the area and this wonderful place. Whimsy fulfilled, fond memory collected. Highly recommend for both the local resident and the next out of town rambler.

The Caravan Gift Shop is an interesting store located inside of Nickels Arcade in Ann Arbor. Nate and I stopped in while we were in town last summer and looked around - there are lots of different types of items including kid stuff (clothes, toys, books, etc.), tiny animal figurines, cards, jewelry, art, accessories, home and garden goods, bath and body products, chocolate, decor... quite an interesting mix of items. We ended up buying a Michigan made felted wool cat toy that looked like a mouse. Super cute and durable. The employee ringing us up was very friendly and nice and told us about the cat toy, which was cool. I always appreciate a kind interaction at places like this. I think this would be a great place to shop for someone who's "hard to buy for" since there are so many different types of gifts and products at the Caravan Gift Shop. This place has been open since 1927!

Most unique gift store in Ann Arbor. Wonderful things for all over the world and a great selection of locally sourced merchandise. Great cards too. Knowledgeable and friendly ownership of one of the oldest shops in Ann Arbor. In nickels arcade

Just shopped online with the Caravan for the first time. Super simple, easy-peasy. My mom will be thrilled to get a package from Tim, Rhonda, Madison, Annabelle, and Bailey! Happy Mother’s Day!

This is such a unique shop! I must warn you this is not a shop you want to run in and out of. There is so much to see of quality and unusual items. From jewerly, pottery cards, and nutcrackers just to name a few items. Everyone is so kind and helpful. One of my must go to shops when I'm in Ann Arbor!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful the Caravan Gift Shop is, far exceeding my hopes and expectations. I recently was in need of several types of gifts ranging in ages from newborn to senior. Bailey coordinated a variety of excellent choices within my desired price ranges that I could select from and then put them together in beautiful gift bag sets for me. All through FaceTime and texts. She also helped determine a very cost effective delivery method. I am so happy with their service, their incredible gift choices and how fun and pleasant it was to work with them. I highly recommend the Caravan Gift Shop!!

Meh. Interesting collection, but I have to agree with the others who say that the staff is rude and that the items are way overpriced. I've been going on and off for a decade now, but yesterday's experience is the last time I will shop there. Just as I was about to pay, the owner -- who asks me almost every time I go in (as I say, for about a decade) if I'm "just visiting" Ann Arbor -- told me that if I used my credit card, I would have to pay an additional 3 percent. I'd never heard that before and when I asked when that policy had been introduced, he looked a bit nervous and mumbled, "Er, a year ago." Nonsense. I have bought things there in the last few months and never been asked to pay an additional 3 percent. Maybe it's just a personality thing, but I always feel as if I need a shower whenever I leave that store. Too bad, because they really do have a few nice (if overpriced) items.

I love this shop. They have unique items-- jewelry as well as various curiosities and intriguing oddities. Sometimes I come in just to wander as if I were at a museum. I bought my favorite pair of earrings here. The family running the store are both kind and knowledgeable.
