This review is for the cafe. They were completely out of soup in the middle of the day and the cinnamon scone was extremely hard and stale. The quiche was served to me burnt and I asked for a new piece.

Very well kept. Very good selections. I took my 11 year old son not too long ago for his first time. For a kid that has no interest in anything other than his video game, the reaction and enthusiasm that he displayed throughout our entire visit was priceless. He said we definitely need to go back soon! Thank you Barnes and Noble!

I only wish there was a Barnes and Noble in Jackson, Mich, as I , and many others would have a great way to spend time and money, and a proper place for young people to meet.

So generally I am more of a fan of small independent bookstores (and there are so many in Ann Arbor!) BUT I have to admit I do really enjoy visiting this Barnes & Noble! Specifically, I like all the "stuff" in the front of the store - activities, games, hobby kits, puzzles, journals. I don't find this kind of selection in other small bookstores (that of course focus most of their inventory on books). I know I can always find something for anyone on any gift giving list. Otherwise, it's a well-organized and large bookstore. Also has a Starbucks inside. Huge parking lot, which is convenient.

It is so disappointing how you try to continue to support these brick and motor buildings…and management continues to make decisions that makes your trip unpleasant.1. 1 person checking people out. (Not that I have anything against older people, but she could have been my grandmother), But I counted 5 kids…(and I say kids, because they are a quarter of the brace of the nice old lady who is ringing people out on her own!), just standing around and talking!2. I don’t mind paying a few dollars extra for the same books I can order on line, but my 3 year old daughter wanted a pair of Christmas bunny glasses. Yes, the ones you can buy at the dollar store for literally 1 dollar! Barnes and Noble wanted $10.50!!! No wonder Amazon is winning!3. How about you get rid of your stupid membership and just give the deals and discounts to everyone! You are not going to beat Amazon…your job is to try invite enough customers so that you can afford to stay open.

The store has been in the area for years, and I remember taking my grandkids there for story times weekly which I enjoyed along with the great selection of of books comparable to some libraries, but in over twenty years, Barnes and Noble still doesn't accommodate the physically challenged appropriately. I keep expecting that they will voluntarily or that the government will require them to do so. The only accommodation I have seen is an elevator at the back of the store. What about automatic doors or carts to carry multiple books, or scooters to maneuver around the store. It's interesting that neither bookstores or libraries provide these services for the physically challenged. ? We're literally on our own when it comes to trying to become an educated part of society in a town/city of educated citizens ?
