I highly recommend Ann Arbor Animal Hospital - they are caring and compassionate.
Our dog suddenly started suffering seizures. We didn't know what to do, so we tried to find a pet hospital with availability. Fortunately, Ann Arbor Animal Hospital was able to see him on short notice. During the visit, they explained the different options available and we decided to try medication. Unfortunately, our dog took a turn for the worse that same day, and we had to quickly return to the hospital - they were flexible and took us right in. They were very compassionate as we had to make the difficult decision to say goodbye to our beloved little pup. This was so hard for us. But we're grateful that this hospital was there to provide support in our moment of need.

They didn't think we could afford to pay for our dog's care after she was hit by a car, so they literally called us during the middle of us taking our kids trick or treating to ask how we were going to pay. Literally on Halloween night during trick or treating. I'll sure never forget that level of disrespect. This was years ago, but I forget nothing.

Nearly 2 weeks ago, we had to say goodbye to our beloved 18 year old kitty, Ruby. Dr. Barnhart and the clinic staff made the process bearable and supported her and us during this difficult time. Thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts.

I cannot say enough good things about this veterinary office. My pets have a variety of needs and I feel so at ease with the high quality care they receive here. Dr. Zhang has been especially wonderful! Beyond the top notch care, I have also watched how empathetic and knowledgeable the front office staff are. The care you receive here is truly personable.

We have been bringing our dogs here for several years when they need emergency services , and we’ve always felt that the doctors and staff are so nice and give great care. I was really happy to see that they now offer non emergency appointments for pets, so I switched from our old vet to the Animal Hospital.

We've been taking our small dog here for three years, and they have always been so helpful. From appointment making to face to face with the vets, everyone is personable and knowledgeable. I'd recommend them to any friends and family.

Good doctors, but difficult to deal with getting prescriptions filled elsewhere. They recently changed their policy to require PHYSICALLY mailing the prescription to Chewy to fill my prescriptions! Chewy would allow me to upload it, but Ann Arbor Animal Hospital requires it to be physically sent in. The doctor didn't even physically sign the prescription, but they are making it harder for their customers to save money by ordering online.

Wonderful staff - they literally saved my best bud's life. They regularly update you throughout their stay, and any time I had a question I just texted and got a prompt callback.

Just found out that any same day appointments here are now charged as emergency services as of a couple months ago they no longer have an electronic que, when I asked Alexandria how long they've had that policy she lied and said it's been like that since covid and when I said "that's not true" she changed it to a "couple months ago". ??

Customer service needs work , staff appears to need better training and I am not sure what role mgt plays in this.

I am going to write two reviews about this hospital
One star is for doctors who misdiagnosed my dog’s problem insisting on unnecessary surgery-we avoided surgery ( thanks to other options)-now dog is doing really well, other doctor insisted on put my cat to sleep way to early-I didn’t listen and cat had happy life for extra several months-I forgot the doctors names… Also one star goes to front desk people… so careless-just couple weeks ago wanted to charge me over $100 for the same shot my dog had 4 weeks ago( was $80) I asked why?First the said-price increased.. I said that much? They said -oh now -it’s based on dogs weight-I said did she gained that much? They said-manager will talk to you-ok, I said( how professional is that)- I started calling other hospitals to ask about 85 pound dog shot for Librella( meds name) -everywhere was around $80. Later manager left voicemail saying it’s $85 … ok… I’ll pay it, but I don’t really want to come back over there…, but I really really like dr. Franklin-and it’ll be another review with five stars going to her
I tried to write another review with five stars for dr Franklin, but I couldn’t, so I am going to say it here… this doctor is amazing -her professionalism, her calm energy, her non-catastrophizing ability to work with pets and owners is hard to describe in a best way possible, so I definitely want to come back for dr. Franklin…. Other stuff and management need to a lot of improvements to do.

My 16 year old cat Cheddar has been seen at Ann Arbor Animal Hospital for 3 years. Dr. Barnhart and the other staff who have worked with my cat consistently take their time and are very gentle with him. I appreciate their unrushed approach to their work and their genuine care for the pets that they see. I also appreciate their trust in my ability to make informed decisions for Cheddar's care. Thank you for being there for Cheddar!

Unfortunately, we had to euthanize our family dog. The staff were so kind and caring, they talked us through everything that was going to happen, and they really made me and my family feel like they cared during this extremely hard time.
