I've been using advance for my last 3 vehicles (American and Japanese).
I can always trust that they'll check and try their best to fix any issues that I bring to them. They'll also tell you if it's not yet time to replace/fix something.
They also communicate well to make sure you get your car back quickly.

My husband had his truck fixed. Fixed a lighting issue. Had to take it back for a battery warning issue. They thought it was the alternator connection and it was, but took a little longer than anticipated.

I took my car here last week to be evaluated due to a rattling noise since they had good reviews and could get me in right away. I took my car in at 9 am and they said they'd call me soon and let me know what they find. I didn't hear from them all day so I called at 3:30 pm to ask for an update. They told me the noise was coming from a loose bolt that they fixed, but I needed new wheel bearings. They never called with that update, and instead waited all day on someone to call them back with the cost of the parts so they could give me an estimate. Therefore I went the entire day without a car and no communication. They called me back an hour later saying they still hadn't heard back from who they needed to hear from and I could just come pick up my car. I called them back and told them I couldn't get there until after they closed, and asked to pay over the phone and they said they would leave my car outside of the shop. When I got there to pick up my car, I didn't find my car outside of the shop. My car was locked inside of the garage with no way for me to get it and I had to change my vacations plans as I had to go home and wait for them to open the next day to get my car. No apology and no offer to fix my wheel bearings when they get an estimate. Don't believe the reviews you see on great communication and prices. Take your business elsewhere, they don't care.

Good friendly honest people... Really hard to find honest mechanics nowadays I recommend you taking your car here. They didn't try to sell me on anything I didn't want and did exactly what I asked them to. Very professional and courteous.

I've been happy with AAT service for a number of visits this year. They compare favorably with other shops (including dealer), and are competent, responsible and customer oriented. Just a great little shop, fair pricing and good work. Definitely worth a 5-Star rating!

Very professional and quick to get the work done. I have a 1969 corvette and it was had to find a shop that would take on an older car. 5 starts all around

I have used advanced automotive for years and have always received prompt service and transparent pricing. They also have the knowledge and resources to repair and upgrade my classic car. Highly recommend.

i have used Advanced Automotive for brakes and other maintenance. I have recommended Advanced Automotive to a number of friends in the past.
As usual, I’m very satisfied with their work. The front desk was friendly, engaging, and answered my (many) questions. They kept me updated on the status of the work they were doing. The mechanic(s) who worked on my car did a fabulous job. my car is a 1948 Oldsmobile Convertible and used I AA because I knew they would repair my car correctly and locate/install/test the required parts
awesome job!

I originally chose this place because it has pretty good reviews on Google and was rated high for the A2 community. I needed all 4 brakes and rotors done, and 1 lug nut replaced on my Subaru Forester. Advanced quoted me just over $1400. Took it to another place up in Fenton, MI, and got it all done for $550 out the door. Normally I wouldn't even bother with a review, but $1400+ is almost 3x what I ended up paying, so it's a bit alarming. Probably wouldn't go back, unfortunately. Still paid the $140 diagnostic fee to get keys. 2-stars because staff was friendly despite the insane quote.

Bumping up my review of this work by a star. That work was 11 years ago, and I'm still using the truck. I can still be a little cranky about some of the work, but the pinion seal and other drive train parts are hard to work on. They did a great job on that, as evidenced by the fact it's worked fine ever since.
I had three jobs done on my truck - transmission swap, exhaust system replacement, front U-joints replaced. I had planned to do some of the work myself, so I had bought many of the parts and priced the rest. I also wrote up a detailed description of the work I wanted done and which parts I had already bought and were in the cab of the truck.

I dropped my vehicle off in the evening with no appointment. It was quickly looked at and fix the next day. I problem was clearly explained to me and all my questions were answered. They did a great job. I highly recommend them.

Customer service was awful, extremely limited payment options and the sheer unwillingness to work with customers on any issue. Aside from customer service, the quality of work performed does seem sublime but it’s only been a few days.

Was buying a used car, and had the guy who was selling it to me meet me at Advanced Auto so they could inspect it before I bought it. They charged me $150 for the inspection, test drove it, put it on the hoist, and told me that it was in good condition, but would need new front rotors in a few months. I negotiated a price and bought the car based on this information. They said they would do the front rotors for $1,100 if I wanted. That seemed pricy to me, so I decided to take it to Ann Arbor Muffler instead. When Ann Arbor Muffler looked at the car, they noticed that the Driver's seatbelt wasn't catching (meaning I would go through the windshield if I got in an accident), the passenger airbag was malfunctioning, and both the front AND back brakes and rotors needed fixing. Ann Arbor muffler did the front AND back for $770, ($330 less that Advanced Auto was charging for just the front) and they did a great job. Not only did Advanced Auto try to gouge me for the front rotors, they MISSED THE FACT THAT THE DRIVER'S SEATBELT WASN'T WORKING (and the passenger airbag too). Had A2 Muffler not caught this, and I got in an accident, I could have died. Negligent, not thorough, and overpriced, go to Ann Arbor Muffler, Brakes & Shocks instead.
