They are wonderful! They took my dog in for an urgent visit and spent the time to care for him, run labs, X-rays and provide the nurturing care we have always received when going there.

I have been going to Switzer's for over 20 years. I love how compassionate the staff is with my dogs and our family. I would recommend them to everyone.

The entire team are all amazing. They came to my car and helped walk my doggos into the building when I was dealing with an injury and couldn't handle them by myself. They explain everything so I understood what was happening! They worked within my budget to make it affordable for me!KUDOS to the ENTIRE team!

Our cat wasn’t walking around after being fixed. They got her right back in and figured out what the problem was. She is doing so much better.

Took our Shih Tzu in because he hadn't eaten in 6 days and wanted nothing to do with his food. We had to wait 6 days because Switzer doesn't work with people regarding budgets and payments. Money before animal welfare. I explained that I thought he had a sore mouth and that's why he wasn't eating. I was told that "sore mouths don't stop them from eating" and they decided that he had pancreatitis. Many pet websites list disinterest in foods with sore mouth. But what do we know? They immediately started with X-rays and blood test. Thee most expensive tests of course. X-rays we're good. Still sure of pancreatitis. Blood tests come back all levels are good, even the pancreatitis test. They then treat for dehydration and anti nausea and send him home. Not once did they feel it was his mouth. Our dog still not eating. This vet cares little about care. They just want your money. We are going to use a different vet from here on out.

Despite living almost an hour away, Switzer Veterinary Clinic has always been my top choice for a vet. They've treated many of my four legged family members over the years and their passion for the animals they see every day cannot be overstated. The staff is always friendly and helpful, willing and able to answer questions and explain them in a way so that everyone can understand it. I highly recommend them for all animal care needs.

We have been taking our pets to Switzer for many years. The staff is very friendly. The medical staff is gentle with our pets. They explain treatment and procedures very clearly. They don't pressure you to do anything that you don't want done. They are upfront with medical costs and give options. My son now takes his pets to Switzer.

SVC goes beyond standard veterinary care. My rescue dog collapsed due to her liver shunt and Dr. Ryan Knight and Dr. Struble researched her rare condition to medically manage her until I could head back downstate to a specialist. When I arrived at the clinic, LVT Drew rushed to action and met me in the parking lot to take my dog from me right into the back to start her work up. Every vet and staff member from Switzer is heaven sent. I will never be able to repay them for helping my Ruby survive. It was truly a miracle and I do not she would’ve had the same outcome anywhere else.

I can't thank Mrs. Knight enough for her compassion with our sweet Lily. I usually don't write reviews, but our experience warrants it. No one wants to take their sick pet to the vet.....just knowing that any news isn't going to be good. Mrs Knight was more than patient with us and our million questions. What made us feel so connected with her was the fact that she truly cared about Lily....she knew that this overly fluffy cat is a big part of our family. Thank you again!

Thank you so much for seeing Leah so quickly. We are new to the area and it was difficult to find someone willing to see her same day for severe pain. Leah thanks you too!

Switzer & Dr Ryan Knight are kind, thoughtful & very empathetic. My Vet in East Tawas has sent me up twice for diagnostic work on 2 of my dogs. Dr Ryan actually sits down & goes over the result with me each time while making treatment & further diagnostic suggestions I've been very pleased with their care for my furchildren.

Our poodle mix was hit by a porcupine. We called Switzer Clinic and were told they could see him right away. When we arrived, the receptionist was generally very rude, telling us she "had no idea" when our dog would be seen. A vet tech came to the lobby about 20 minutes later and was preparing to take our dog to a back room for "surgery". No explanation, no timing, no costs were provided. We became increasingly uncomfortable with this bunch and did not want our dog subjected to anesthesia unnecessarily - and without ANY explanations at all. We left the clinic for another vet. That vet took 15 minutes and removed all the quills. The cost was 29.00.We don't trust this bunch.
