This is the first time I’ve gone out of my way to review a pharmacy, but I feel obligated to after the wonderful experience I had last night where Lauren M showed true compassion and care after a hiccup with my insurance that made me start to panic.She didn’t have to go out of her way like she did, but I am so grateful. And all while still hustling to assist other customers in line with a smile as my issue got handled.Thank you, Lauren!

Rude and never answer a simple question. They ask if you have a question for the pharmacist and all they say is ask your doctor and then hang up. If it wasn’t for the Meijer reward points I would find another pharmacy

Not a good pharmacy. No matter what you are prescribed, they never fill it until days later after the doctor calls it in. When you call and tell them you need it now they say “let me check our stock” and then they fill it. But you have to call and complain. Every single time. I’m not sure exactly what “stock” is for if they have to wait to fill it and then suddenly they can. I’ll be switching to Walgreens.

They told me it would be twenty minutes wait. I waited. 40 minutes later, I go up to check, and the pharmacist tells me he refuses to fill it until tomorrow just because he can. I work at the time the pharmacy opens in the morning, and after I just spent all that time waiting, he could have made a concession as a courtesy. The prescription was from a local doctor and sent the same day. Didn’t matter. Hey had the power to make me wait and that’s what he decided to do. No hospitality whatsoever. No sense of keeping the pharmacy’s word. Just cold, uncaring control and a complete, self-righteous lack of remorse at having wasted my time. Now I’ll have to wait until my lunch break tomorrow, drive all the way up there again. And even then maybe he will say no just out of spite. The sad part is that I don’t know.

I love Meijer in Alpena and most of the staff is friendly. The store is always clean, produce looks beautiful no complaints there. However, I do have a special needs child that is too big to be placed in a regular cart so we make use of the Carolina cart (which we are very grateful for), but every time we come in to shop the Carolina cart is ALWAYS shoved in the corner and blocked by many other carts. Is there a more convenient location to keep it?
