“First time in the store. Found it very quaint...old-fashioned store feel to it! But with modern upgrades. LOVED the fresh meat counter. Like having a choice like that. Prices seemed around the average mark. They have a coffee bar and a salad bar. Pleasant staff. Would go back.”

“Meijer in Alpena has a much more welcoming and fresh vibe to it than most stores in town. The workers there tend to be treated better and with more care than at Walmart. This makes for a rather pleasant place to shop that feels less corporate and more community oriented.”
“This place has always had a comforting atmosphere more than the bigger stores like Meijer or Walmart. The produce is better than Walmart but Meijer still has fresher produce. Getting canned food, salad dressing and dried pasta has never been easier. The meat here is better looking than most I've seen”
