Alpena General Store is a favorite spot and a great boutique grocery store in Alpena. It offers a good selection of meat, including sausages, brats, and other choices beyond regular beef and chicken, with meats of local origin from locally-raised animals. The store also sells baked goods like donuts and brownies, awesome ice-cream, snacks, and condiments from Michigan producers. The staff provides great and very helpful service, and prices are very fair. It is a nice place to visit for fresh food and specialty items, perfect for those who care about buying locally-produced food and supporting the community.

Every time we go to Alpena, we have to stop and grab sausages and snacks here! We even started bringing an empty cooler with us so we can stock up and bring our favorite taste of Alpena back home!

Great service awesome ice-cream and the brownie with the peanut butter frosting was out of this world. Prices are fair for fresh food business.
