There is a female staff in the pharmacy department tonight that was a real jerk when I called about a prescription that was called in this morning from my Dr. I have never had to wait over 24 hrs for a new fill ever and her attitude was rude. I will be changing where I get my prescriptions from now on.

Edit: So you’re becoming a Walgreens? I hope no one from the former Walgreens across the street has any management position in the new RiteAid -> Walgreens. Over the years I’ve heard many horror stories from good people about the pharmacy staff at the former Walgreens. The “new hires” who were brought over to RA when Walgreens Alma closed are the people who have been unprofessional. Do better; it costs nothing to be professional and kind. And yes, you’re doing a tough job, people often cannot afford their medications and they get upset, but don’t make it worse. But seriously, you need more staffing, but the all mighty shareholder needs their dividends.
Though no business is perfect, especially one that is run by “corporate” rules with very little leeway for the personal touch, or bending unnecessarily rigid rules (ok, I miss a certain locally owned pharmacy), I DO NOT want to see our local RiteAid be closed! Word on the street is that all RiteAids in Michigan are closing and I truly hope this is not true! Constructive criticism, some of the pharmacy staff could be more friendly, and professional (the new hires, especially, and don’t yell that you need to see my ID because I’m picking up a controlled substance, I know why you need to see my ID!). And no I cannot understand how it feels to work in your jobs but YOUR ARE APPRECIATED especially when we customers can see how busy you are. I do not want to have to go to Meijer or Walmart for my pharmacy needs as those pharmacies are all ready overrun during cold and flu season.. Save our Alma RiteAid!!!

Definitely switching pharmacies completely. Unlikely to receive any help, clueless to the person health at all. & will not fallow doctor orders. argumentative, even though the medication I am taking is at its lowest dose. Having a panic disorder is hardly a joke, haven’t received good care in two years. So as my new doctor & I try to figure out how to control my panic, I am not allowed to pick up early, even though the script was changed for 10days. He has has to assume it’s for 30 days. Wouldn’t listen whatsoever.

AS is very common here there is only ONE product on the shelf for many items and I am told that is ALL corp will send. This is ridiculous. I worked retail and there should always be 3-4 items in stock and more sale items especially those with % off a second buy . THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I explained I been sitting here 7 minutes and I lived 15miles away and I’m heading home. He said welp can’t help you sorry for you I’m going to lunch. I’ll be using a new pharmacy now.

From friendly faces (people who have been greeting me for decades!) at the door, to caring professionals in the pharmacy for refills and vaccination services, I recommend Alma Rite Aid. Getting scripts filled can be complicated, communications with doctor offices (did they really send the script?) not always seamless, rules of refills - complicated, add in insurance company rules - complicated. Rite Aid does their best to get people the medications they need despite all of the above.

Keith and the staff are excellent. This Rite Aid is extremely busy and the staff goes out of their way to make sure prescriptions are completed in a timely manner. Keith and the staff are also extremely knowledgeable and I have asked many questions about my own care, and that of my family.

Nice staff, clean store, fairly priced items for the most part, especially if you have a rewards cards-that's where the big deals are at!! !

Made three trips to this store to pick up 4 prescriptions. I was told it was too early the first trip, told to come the next day. Went back the next day at noon. They were not ready, they promised to have them ready at 5 p.m. go back at 5, still not ready. Waited another 45 minutes to find out I have to come back again for for one of them after I was told I could get all of them on this trip. Worst experience of customer service ever! Female staff were extremely rude. The young man who waited on me last was very polite. Terrible treatment for a new customer!

I spent 40.00 more than required after discussing this with the pharmacist, they refunded me on one script but couldn’t on the other two. Check where and rxgood prior to giving your insurance co pay.

Im so disappointed. I spent a significant amount on a med that I needed that should have been covered in part (if not all) by insurance. I had a friend pick it up for me since I’m sick. After seeing the total, I called and was told that since the med. left the store, they could not re-bill it. I asked for store credit for the difference and they said no. That was grocery/gas money. Why do I even pay for insurance?! Will not be going back to Rite Aid.
