I had a metal roof installed by these guys. The estimater took notes on what I wanted removed from the roof ( chimney and an old satellite dish). The workers had no knowledge of this but removed the chimney as asked. I have contacted brad many times and he refuses to respond or fix the issues. I now have a metal roof that had holes drilled through it to install an unused satellite dish, areas where screws are popping out and a crooked peak vent on the garage.

I definitely feel like I was scammed by this company. Had windows installed with lifetime warranty. Called in 2012 to have screens replaced and was told it was too far for them to drive, yet it wasn't too far when they did the install. Left 6 messages for a window that is not working with no response. Will definitely go elsewhere for new roof, siding and gutters.

This company did my siding and new gutters in 2011. I am selling the house now and through an inspection it was determined that they covered all the vents from the soffits. I now have mold in the attic and the roof is crumbling. Two contractors have independently verified that the work was not done properly.

Yes, their initial work was good, but they are horrible at following up when you call about problems. I left several messages and no-one responded.

Energy First has done siding, windows and now a deck for us. They did a wonderful job each time. Prices were good, the staff was hard working and they leave the job site clean.

Take it from one of his own workers. He will rip you off, he overbids your houses and puts on the worst quality product just to save himself money. OFFICIALLY WORST CONTRACTOR IN MICHIGAN. Seriously just don’t!

I feel like we were scammed - tried to reach out in regards to a window seal that has failed and no one has answered the phone or called me back, and now today the phone number I have been calling is miraculously disconnected. Very unhappy. I will be filing an official complaint with whomever I need to, in order to get this resolved.

This company is a joke. They do not know how to do anything right. They never worked on any of my house thank God. But i have seen a lot of house that they have worked on it looks like my 7 year old did it. They treat their employees like trash. They also steel from the home owners and people that are working on the same job they are.

I called these guys out to give me a quote for new windows. Ken was very helpful and told me my windows should still be under warranty and helped me contact the window manufacturer, helped me measure and photo each window (33) and guided me throughout the ordering process. This company could have taken advantage of this situation, but instead they have helped me. Once the Windows are in place, I'm sure I'll be posting another positive review!

Wish I never would have hired this company. Spent over $14,000 on a new roof, gutters, gutter guards, and downspouts. The guys on the crew were nice enough, but the Office (Brad) is usually non-responsive. Have to contact him numerous times to speak with him, then he says he needs to speak with the owner (which I doubt he does) and then he fails to ever respond. My main issue (not the only one) is that I have had the new roof for three winters, and every year with the first snow, the gutter guards become detached from the gutters. They sent someone out the first two years to repair them, but the repair only lasts until the next snow. Notified them again this year, and they failed to respond at all.The problem seems to be that the system used (plastic mesh glued into the gutter) is incompatible with the metal roof (these should not be sold together). As Energy First is either unable or unwilling to rectify this situation, I am having M & M replace the gutter guards at a cost of more than $1,200.

It would be nice if people used this review option for useful information rather then a way to slander a successful family business.Thank youKen Cena
