Avoid this seller and J&J Motor sales in Allendale MI . Seller "Ethan" has no integrity. Committed to sell me a Jeep. Told him I would pay for it and pick it up that day. He told me he had to wait 1 week for title to transfer from previous owner. He said no problem he would hold it with no deposit despite me volunteering to put one down. After repeated attempts to get a hold of him over the next week, I stopped at the dealership to see to see where we were at with the title.
I asked for Ethan. While another employee was getting him I overheard his boss telling him "this is a chance to see how he would handle the pressure of a disgruntled customer" when we brake the terms of a sale. He said he had changed his mind and now would not sell it to me. I asked him "so you are saying you will not honor your word?" He said "that's correct I wont".
Businesses like this are what is wrong with todays society.
Update : A response to the owner below. I did not Facebook stalk anyone. The seller posted your business address in the ad under his personal account as well as sent it to me to stop by to see the car.. He "Offered to sell me the car" He has many of your cars listed in this same way

Bought two vehicles back in December from them. I needed a car asap as my previous car took a crap. We saw a 2013 ford escape posted on Facebook for sale I called and asked if it was still for sale and it was so we drove over and test drove it and a 2008 f350. The escape had a loud blower motor but the owner said he would get it fixed before we left with it but I needed a car that day so I could go to work. He said we could bring it back and he would get it fixed but didn’t have time with my busy schedule. About 3 weeks or so after buying a coolant valve went bad in the escape ( escapes are known for this from what I have searched) I called and he offered to fix it for us but it was cheap enough we just fixed it at home. Everybody was very friendly even stayed open later so we could get both vehicles home since we didn’t plan on buying two. My sister also bought a car through them a few month later and loves it. We still have both vehicles and they are amazing. I always recommend people checking out their lot. I would buy from them again. Always remember when buying a vehicle new/used it can have issues that aren’t the dealers fault but when the dealer is willing to fix the issue it shows how great the dealer is

Worse place to shop, they will not meet their own agreement. They sold me a $8,000 car and car broke down in a week and mechanic kept blowing me off and even kept lying about what's really wrong with the car. Never got my money back or car fixed by them. I ended up paying $4000 to repair what was wrong w Acadia.

I just purchased a wonderful used Chevy Suburban. It was priced more than reasonable. Very affordable. The staff was super helpful and I was able to test drive multiple vehicles. The purchasing process was straight forward and not complicated at all. Best of all there wasn't tons of fees like most other dealerships. If you're looking for an affordable vehicle as low as $2000 and up, I highly recommend shopping for your next vehicle here. I will definitely be back when I need another vehicle. Good luck getting them to answer the phone, and if they do answer they have absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. I tried talking on the phone with them and they are extremely rude and condescending. The guy i talked to kept cutting me off and talking to other people while i was on the phone and was just overall gross to talk to. also get an actual website! these people super suck!

Beware of this "dealership"! My father and went looking for a car here and we thought we had found the place as the prices and cars looked decent. We went on a Saturday and the office ladies were nice and mostly helpful. We were interested in 6 cars and wanted a test drive them. The first 2 cars started but 1 had a water pump light on so we crossed them off the list. The next 2 wouldn't start and there was no one there that could jump them, 2 more crossed off the list. He drove a 2013 Traverse listed for $8000 with 140k miles. He really liked the car, except he could feel the transmission was slipping a bit but wasn't overly concerned. He put a deposit down on the Traverse, got a copy of the title, and we were on our way. After looking at the title it said that the mileage was 188k miles. Called the dealership to see what the issue was with the 2 different mileages and the lady stated it must've been a clerical error as the odometer read 140k miles. Went in the following Wednesday to figure out the mileage issue and the OWNER had no apology or excuse, just offered $400 off the car. They checked the VIN and everything matched the title, they stated it must've been a clerical error at the state. I asked for the Carfax, he couldn't produce them. I asked to see where they saw it at 140k miles and he pulled up the service record. Low and behold right there in black and white was 188k miles. Even with the owner and a mechanic looking at the service report that stated they bought the traverse from another dealer at 188k miles they didn't believe it. Told them the sale was cancelled and to give the deposit back, he didn't have the money so he asked a mechanic to borrow $100 to give back to my dad. I told him I wanted him to write on the receipt that the sale was cancelled effective todays date and that he returned the money. He looked at me like I just asked him to cure cancer, a completely dumbfounded look. Wrote he returned the money and scribbled an illegible signature at the bottom. After that he said "people have no trust anymore". Sir, you just tried to FRAUDULENTLY sell us a car! There is a reason for the low rating on Google and a D- at the BBB. Avoid these crooks at all costs or you will be paying for it!

Had a great experience buying a car here. Relaxed environment, no one came rushing out to sell me this or that. I think the cars I looked at were priced right based on the condition they were in. Buying process was quick and easy (I did not finance). People here real nice and easy to work with.

I hate going to dealerships where someone runs out right away and then hovers over you while you’re “looking” at vehicles. J and J is not like that at all! Most easy going group of people I have ever met. If you have questions, they will answer them but don’t expect someone to be outside shadowing your every move. They let you test drive anything and everything you want without pressuring you to buy. I went with my daughter a couple years ago and we tested 4 vehicles and every time we brought the keys back in they would just thank us. I loved that! No awkward conversations! Something you must be aware of when buying from here is they don’t detail the cars.. I didn’t really care. The less they have to do, the better deal they can sell you the vehicle for. We just purchased a Nissan Pathfinder from them and everything was so easy and smooth from start to finish. The ladies that work in the office are the absolute best and even stayed after closing to finish our transaction so we could drive it home that day and not have to go back the next. These ladies are the heart of this business!!!
